GAME THREAD: ORLANDO @ DENVER

Recommended Posts

Didn't see the game, Paytons stats looked good though (20 points, 12 assists), how did he play? I was concerned about him having a down game after his excellent performance against Utah.

Poor first 20 minutes. Really good last 8 minutes

If Henny ends up trading our 2017 first rounder for someone like Dragic or Bledsoe to try and salvage the season or his job, I'm going to go nuts. This team needs to be sellers and accept its tanking fate.

Agreed

1st quarter: 2/3 fg 3ast 1 reb 8mins

2nd quarter: 1/2 fg 3ast 1 reb 1to 6mins

3rd quarter: 0/3 fg 1ast 1 reb 1to 4mins

4th quarter: 6/9 fg 5ast 1 reb 1to 10mins

He was solid the whole game except for coming out flat after halftime, played 4 mins the 3rd quarter, where we truly lost our handle on the game.

Now how did he play on defense?

Now how did he play on defense?

Not good, not terrible-best out of the starters fwiw. Not his fault we were trounced by Denver's meaty front court. Nik, Serge, and particularly Gordon couldn't hang. Sure Jameer had a field day for a game he probably had circled on his calendar. Mudiay has some skills. Our team sucks this year.

What happened to this teams supposed strong interior defense from our free agent rim protectors? This team needs to trade Ibaka and quick because he aint coming back next year. As far as Byambo he's right where he belongs coming off the bench trying to grab a few boards, there should never be an offensive play run that involves him in any way.

At least Payton is starting to play well now and showing consistency

It's nice to see consistent offense, but he seems to consistently bring one or the other and can't play both offense and defense at the same time. Most of our interior defensive issues are starting on the perimeter because neither guard can stop penetration consistently. I'd kill for Victor Oladipo back.
