when I saw Biyombo's numbers I thought it might be a function of the offense. but the extra 0.13 passes per minute might represent Fournier finding Vucevic outside of the offense.

 

so basically, Fournier might find vucevic outside of the offense at a higher rate than he finds Gordon at all.

 

Yeah but is that because he's looking for Vuch more than AG?

 

Remember the earlier gripes of lack of ball movement and AG's frustration with that and defense? Could he of been speaking about Fournier?

 

Fournier goes out, Vuch is in the bench and AG has two 30 point games in a month.

Gordon .13 times a minute

Vucevic .35 times a minute

Biyombo .22 times per minute

 

So it definitely looks like he is more willing to pass to Vuch, as he passes to Vuch almost twice as often as he passes to Payton, Ibaka, or Biyombo and about 3 times as often as he passes to Gordon.

 

 

This answers my question. He looks for Vuch more than anyone intentionally.

 

Might need to keep that in mind to AG's development and to our success.

Yeah. It's indisputable that he passes the most to Vucevic. We don't know the intent though.

 

Fwiw, meeks has a rate passing to Gordon at 0.21. But sample size. They've played 73 minutes together

It would be more interesting to see Gordon's ratios passing to other players. Watching him, he misses opportunities to pass out of fast breaks to a guard, causing him to turn the ball over because of overdribbling or get caught in a double team.

I think we're litigating this issue too much though.

 

the point is, Fournier shouldn't be the primary ball handler. he will be until we find someone better or Payton pushes back into the starting lineup.

 

Nobody who is an upgrade of significance is available.

 

We need Payton to handle the ball more and Payton, Gordon, and Ibaka to handle more of the scoring so that we're not looking at Fournier everytime we go through our initial set without a basket.

 

Fournier stops playing like Jimmy Butler and plays more like Kyle Korver and everyone is happy.
