It's why I preach steady weight loss. 1-2lbs per week is ideal but if one is already there, I would say wait for a year before considering surgery. Focus on muscle building. The body will adjust naturally and the skin will tighten up eventually. I tell people to think build muscle and condition right off the bat. So many have the cliche "fat loss" in their minds.
