2016-2017 Trade Idea Thread

Recommended Posts

Would you rather...attempt to trade Vuch now, or instead use him as a trade chip in the offseason to combine with our pick from the Raptors to move up to a 8-14 draft pick? If we're talking rebuild, the latter sounds way more appealing to me at least.

If we're dead set on trading him, do it now to ensure our tank goes full throttle and we end up with bottom 3 record. We have 24 games to catch LA and we play a lot of teams under .500. Not having Vuc for those games would help in the long run.

He hasn't had a concussion for while. Those normally keep him out about 10 games, lol. Hmmmm......

if we remain in the status quo we cant pick worse than 6th.

It would be much better to be higher rather than take a guy who fell to us. In that case (or Henny's stupidity) we may take a redundant player again and be forced to play someone out of position (Gordon) or discard one of our young assets for nothing (Tobias). Lose lose lose....after 5 years we definitely know how to do that well. If we really want the 6ht pick on draft day it would be better to have to trade down and acquire assets to get it than to have to trade up and utilize assets. This team sucks and the fans need something to make next years season ticket sales improve. We need #1,2 or 3...not 6!

We held him out a lot near the end of last year and I want to say it resulted in more wins. Lol

If we could package Vuch and our Toronto pick to move back into the late lottery I'd be all for that.

Two picks in the top 14 of this draft would give this franchise much needed signs of life.

I don't see the Magic making any moves before then anyways, the Ibaka deal had to go down now we can be more patient with our next move(s).

This is the weekend where that might happen though.

You look at the standings if you're Rob and you see you're 6 games back, Detroit is struggling, Bucks lost Parker, you've beaten Miami, Charlotte is only 3 games ahead and NY is a mess, and you're facing heavy criticism from all angles and your job might be on the line. You might see if you can make one move, a "calculated" move, to go on a huge run and sneak in.

If you can't get that move before the deadline then you probably do fall on the sword.

He's not going to do that now because if you are Rob,

you know there's a big chance you're demoted to being a scout for the next decade.

That's what hurts the most. The East has been incredibly disappointing and we're still bottom dwellers

yeah, that's a rehash of the same trade rumors coming from Detroit people

Would you be okay with this?

Starters: Biyombo, Gordon, Fournier, Ross, and Jackson

Second unit: Vucevic, Green, Meeks(when he returns), and Payton
