2016-2017 Season Predictions thread

Recommended Posts

40-42 9th seed. I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but that's my prediction. I think it will finally be clear Payton isn't our PG of the future and Hezonja will be mediocre until the last part of the season when he finally starts to break out(it will be a little too late though). Ibaka will stay because he'll see the future potential. Gordon will struggle playing SF, but he'll also start to break out towards the end of the season(he may not be playing SF for long, I expect Vuc to be moved before the deadline). I think our second half record will be much better than our first half, but it won't be enough for the 8 seed.

That's not being a Debbie downer. It's pretty objective

After tonight with the roster the way it is... we will win 34 games. And have a major injury with one of the bigs (we will run high minutes, someone wont make it).

This is a tough one because there are so many changes to the team and it's hard to know how everything fits together. The challenge could certainly be offense, because with Payton and Gordon in together you have two guys who are reluctant to shoot who the other team can sag off, making it much harder for everyone else.

Bottom line: We win somewhere between 20 and 60 games this season. We either make the playoffs or we don't.

How's that for going out on a limb?

Nailed it on my bottom line.

I think we win 40-44 games.

Payton moderately improves.

Fournier becomes the team captain and floor leader.

Gordon is utilized a lot more in offensive sets.

We trade Vooch at the deadline.

The team becomes a top 5 defensive unit.

We lose in the first round to Cleveland.

We draft or sign a PG next summer.

Looks like I nailed it! Lol
