here's the realistic targets:

Point Guard:

Conley is the only starting point guard upgrade.

Jeremy Lin might be an interesting backup if we go that route

super dark horse (a la Hennigan trading afflalo for Fournier)- Jordan Clarkson

Wings:

Upgrades in order of who the top targets will be:

1. Durant

2. DeRozan

3. Batum

interesting backups if we go that route:

Courtney lee

Luol Deng

Jared Dudley

Bazemore but he might cost too much now

Super Dark Horse- Harrison Barnes

Power Forward:

Don't think we go after a starter here. think we want to let Gordon grow.

Backups: Dwight Powell

Center:

1. Al Horford

2. Whiteside

Backups- Ian Mahinmi maybe Tyler Zeller. Noah

Dark Horse: Dwight

Level with me man... do you think there is any way Dwight wears an Orlando jersey next season? Legitimate question and not trolling at all.

Our GM, Bradley Cooper, had a press conference and said "we're going to be ambitious, at the same time though we'll be disciplined"

i.e. we're going to go after Durant but if we fail we're not going to throw a bunch of money at Evan Turner.

sure,

but about the same chance as Durant coming here. A lot of things need to happen for Dwight to come back. We'd have to strike out on a lot of players, Dwight would need to take a significant pay cut, etc.

Batum ain't leaving. I'm positive

There's a reasonable chance they wont pay him the max considering they have MKG making 13 million and a big hole at center.

EDIT: I'm also operating on the assumption that they'd rather have Marvin Williams than Batum if forced to choose.

I'd be thrilled with Batum. I've been a huge fan of his for a long time.

Question for everyone, who of the young core would you trade if we had to deal one of them to upgrade? My order from person I'd mind traded from least to most is

Vucevic

Payton

Hezonja

Oladipo

Gordon

I would love to have Horford and and DeRozan, but I feel like we would have to overpay a lot to bring them here. Conley would be a nice fit too if we could pry him away. I'm just curious to see if Hennigcan makes a big splash this off-season or next. There's a sense of urgency within the organization and fanbase to win now but Hennigan knows theres also some talen in next years free agency as well.
