Fultz4thewin 2,464 Report post Posted June 29, 2016 basically, we filled a bench spot so we don't need to give future money to a bench guy this offseason. but this kills our chance at 2 max guys. however we still can make a run at one max guy. roster plus Fournier's cap hold and dedmon's cap hold leaves us something like 39 million left to offer free agents. Probably doesn't hurt us much either way if we are punting getting a real max player for next year, but you think we could at least get rid of some dead weight- or get something back for getting that salary off of Detroit's books.
