Fultz4thewin 2,464 Report post Posted June 17, 2016 Vertical reporting that teams have been informed of a $94 million dollar cap, a little higher than the projected $92 Wow! They initially estimated 89. This means the league earned something like 232 million more than they were expecting.

CTMagicUK 1,476 Report post Posted June 18, 2016 So I'm going to have to do a brand new salary cap chart on Monday. Fan *****ing tastic Meh, cap is slightly higher but that means the max contracts are too which in essence means nothing changed. Except of course if you can get a guy to sign for the "max" we expected rather than the max we got in which case there might be new options open.

The margins were razor thin before but we might be able to keep Fournier and sign two max contracts now.
Air Gordon 156 Report post Posted June 18, 2016 I read somewhere that the salary floor is gonna be like $84 million... There's gonna be ridiculous money handed out this summer
ufballer1986 12 Report post Posted June 18, 2016 A scenario no one has really mentioned is the possibility of signing lebron. Woj is reporting he will bolt to somewhere warmer if they win sunday. Maybe somehwere with no state taxes but still in the easy eastern conference? Somewhere with enough capspace and tradable assets to acquire his allstar buddies? I'm talkin about Orlando. A place where the beer flows like wine and the women instinctively flock like the salmon of capastrona

Air Gordon 156 Report post Posted June 18, 2016 Floor doesn't really matter all that much It does. Teams have to spend that much money
AddiFB 429 Report post Posted June 18, 2016 It does. Teams have to spend that much money Not really. If teams don't reach the floor, the amount needed to do so is split evenly between the players on the roster. So, teams don't HAVE to overspend on someone to reach the floor, they might as well just do what they see fit and let the players they have get the rest. I forgot about that stipulation in the rule. Still gonna be some insane contracts this summer.
