If only SVG hadn't played Jameer in that series... There might have been one trophy in Orlando. Of course the first game not getting a goaltending call on Gasol and Dwight missing free throws that could have sealed game four didn't help... but still

But rafer was sucking by the end of the Cleveland series and jameer mostly took Anthony Johnson's minutes. Rafer still played 30mpg that series.

True, that's why I don't subscribe to the Jameer/Rafer theory. If I remember correctly I think Rafer only had one bad game against Cle? Our other guard position was the primary downfall for us in the finals, and our transition interior D to a lesser extent.

The truth is that Jameer Nelson was voted to the All Star game that season. He was killing it before he got hurt.

He certainly was having a career year that year. I don't mean to take anything away from Jameer as I liked him and still appreciate how he carries himself. He was a more reliable scorer than Rafer and contributed to a good team dynamic, that's for sure. Take each in their prime and Rafer was the superior point though, just more well-rounded; he didn't play to score, he played to win on both ends (and make mix tapes), which helps overlook his cantankerous perception when comparing to Jameer. Jameer is no doubt the kinder Magician though!

You part of the Orlando Paparazzi scene or something? I worked in the same building as MJ and lived in the same neighborhood as Dell Curry for 4 years and never saw either of them in person. I know Charlotte is bigger than Orlando but you sure seem to beat the odds on chance encounters. Bo was everywhere when I still lived in Orlando, if he's the same way, then that might not be the most unique encounter, but still...

No. You take pre-injury Jameer every time over Alston. Suggesting Jameer only played to score and not to win is a bogus statement, too. Alston tried and failed to score quite a bit. He couldn't hit a contested layup to aave his life, though.
