HighAngleDad Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 I wonder who was the last Laker "big" who did not win a championship. Bynum has a ring, was there anyone between him and Shaq? I don't follow the Lakers closely enough to know this, I am soooo sick of "Boston and LA" that I would like to see both teams go a decade without a single win. Stern would never let that happen though. Is there an official Laker forum, similar to ours? So far I have not spotted it but I would like to see how popular Dwight is now. Quote
Emory889 Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Kwame Brown didn't win one. Before him it was Vlade Divac. Quote
HighAngleDad Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Darn, I was hoping Dwight could be the first one to play that position for the Lakers without winning a title. Now that you mention the other two I do recall them. Kwame Brown didn't win one. Before him it was Vlade Divac. Quote
Orlando Magic Toaster Posted January 21, 2013 Author Report Posted January 21, 2013 Dwight ejected again They played better without him for a while, I was half hoping they would win then.. Quote
the notorious S.A.C. Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 Checked the Lakers message board today and they are now resorting to the refs as the reason they are losing. I never thought Id see the day a Lakers fan complained about officiating. For god sakes Im surprised refs even have whistles at lakers games the last 10 years. They must have gotten them this year from the Heat officials who cant seem to call a foul on Lebron unless he body slams someone. Quote
For the love of the game Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 Do the Lakers have a pick in this years first round? I think it would be great if they finished in the lottary and did not have a pick. Quote
CTMagicUK Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 Their first round pick was sent to the Suns in the Nash trade. Some places report the pick to be top 14 protected, ESPN says that it goes to the Suns if its a top 14 pick. Quote
Captain Hi-Top Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 Lakers need to win 24 out of their remaining 41 games (.585) just to get to a .500 season, and even that won't gurantee them a playoff spot in the west. 1 Quote

Captain Hi-Top Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 Thats some funny stuff. It's not out of the realm of possibility. They went 17-24 for the first half, so they only need to win 7 more games in the second half of the season for a chance at the playoffs. Houston is hovering right around .500, so it's reasonable to assume that they could remain there, or even dip down a little by the end of the season. Also, consider that the Lakers have had one of the tougher schedules so far (top 7 in terms of SOS), and have nearly leveled out their early heavy home schedule as well. Quote
CTMagicUK Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 So in a perfect world we get involved in a 3 team deal that makes Houston better (Zbo or Josh Smith maybe) because not only will that help us but it will also decrease the likelihood of the Lakers making the playoffs and thus allows us to continue to find joy in their struggles.
