Soul Bro Posted December 8, 2012 Author Report Posted December 8, 2012 I really hope we keep JJ. As for Baby, he's always been wildly erratic in the regular season; always shows up in the postseason, though. Would you rather keep JJ or Affalo? Quote
Soul Bro Posted January 1, 2013 Author Report Posted January 1, 2013 Update... Most Impressive: Vooch - Dude is like the Jolly Green Giant out there. Love his steady and improving ways! Redick - You keep coming hard every game. Love your curls and passing. Affalo - Hustle and responsibility. I like that you're finding your midrange game. McBob - You have become a glue-type dude. Love your selfless play. Most Disappointing: Ish - You are flat out the worst player I can ever remember on the Magic. At least one of the worst. Your PER is 4 ... 4!!! I'm not sure what kind of blackmail you have on Henny but it must be quite good. Professor Nicholson - You are really going to have to learn to play defense. Make this your near-term focus. Turk - I love your passing but you make terrible, lazy decisions, too. Do you believe in self-control? Nelson - We sorely miss you, but you are not that good even when we have you, with a PER that ranks 38th amongst all PGs in the NBA right now. (Yes, I know PER has limitations). Henny - For the first time, I'm putting you on this list. We REALLY need to find a PG to develop for the future, and he's nowhere near this roster right now. Maybe we need to wait for the draft but having Ish and Turk play PG is painful to watch. Quote

Well, E'Twaun Moore hasn't been bad. Actually, he's surprised the 'ell out of me. Quote
LaVar Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 Well, E'Twaun Moore hasn't been bad. Actually, he's surprised the 'ell out of me. I was thinking the same thing. Young combo guard with size. Quote
Voodoo Man Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 I was thinking the same thing. Young combo guard with size. And rarely turns the ball over. He absolutely deserves to be in the impressed list. Quote
Soul Bro Posted January 1, 2013 Author Report Posted January 1, 2013 And rarely turns the ball over. He absolutely deserves to be in the impressed list. This recent list is for recent play. EM has been hurt. Moore's been okay, but his ball handling is below average, as he can't handle ball pressure. Quote
Jareth Cutestory Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 The only PG I could see being worth our time that isn't in college right now or in diapers is Eric Bledsoe who at this point would cost a fortune. He's also on a team that is on a 287 game win streak and likely not even entertaining trades. Other than that, be happy we have Nelson & Moore, who unfortunately got hit with the injury bug. Moore is a solid contributor off the bench, and I could see him growing as a player. Every team needs a guy like him. Streaky shooter who can get hot and play decent D. And he's cheap. Until then, I can't think of any PG who's actually available that would be worth our time or who I can see Vaughn grooming to be our future. None. Waits for posters to suggest Jonny Flynn. Quote
Soul Bro Posted January 1, 2013 Author Report Posted January 1, 2013 Has anyone thought of Jonny Flynn? Quote
Soul Bro Posted January 1, 2013 Author Report Posted January 1, 2013 In all seriousness, what do people think of Wroten? I never saw him play in college. I'm fairly certain we could use one of our good vets to get him. Kendall Marshall? Arena Chicken? Quote

Maybe we need to wait for the draft but having Ish and Turk play PG is painful to watch. Henny doesn't belong in the disappointing category. You can't just expect the guy to pull a trade out of a hat for a future PG in response to injuries to Nelson and Moore...its just not reasonable. Now if its this time next year and we haven't made an addition and Ish Smith is somehow still on the roster, then you'd have a valid point, but not at the moment. Henny pulled off a very solid trade for Dwight getting back a 22 yr. old center with a 17.65 PER and averaging a double double, a top 10 SG in Afflalo, Harkless who has shown flashes and will at the very least be a solid role player and potentially great defender, cap flexibility, and an array of future 1st round picks. Henny deserves to be on the impressive list, I have absolute faith in the guy and am confident this thing will be turned around in the next 2-3 years. Quote
Soul Bro Posted January 1, 2013 Author Report Posted January 1, 2013 ALL, PLEASE KNOW I'M A BIG FAN OF HENNY OVERALL. Relax... Read the thread. In my most recent post, I'm simply pointing out that Ish is quite stinky and not worthy of being in the NBA. Surely, Henny sees that, right? Quote
Jareth Cutestory Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 Hennigan resigned Ish who had some familarity with the roster for a position of need and Moore to do battle for backup minutes. Moore won, and Ish is sniffing the court due to injury. Other than that, he probably replicates speedy PG's in practice and that's it. If by 2014 we don't have a PG of the future, then I'd worry. Also, Marshall can't even play in the D-League and Wroten is a project who I like, but could end up being the next Javaris Crittenton for all we know. Quote
