Glen Davis has truly been something special.

That video was from 2010 when he was a celtic still. I would assume that he has embraced his nickname at this point and run with it as a "brand"

Davis was given his nickname when he was 9 years old by a youth league coach. At 5'6", 160 pounds, he was too large to play pee-wee and played as a senior. He used to cry when playing with his older teammates, and his coach would tell him, "Stop crying, you big baby."

^^lol^^

At the end of the season, I started calling him Glen "Big Hustle" Davis. Not a good nickname though. His nickname is already too embedded into his life to just change so easily. Maybe if he has a long stay here, it may change. Has to just happen though on its own means. Can't be fabricated.

let's slow down on the special stuff, for 2/3 of last year he struggled but I will give him credit, he stepped up big time after Dwight got hurt and played great in the playoffs, he has been a good ambassador for the team and has lost in excess of 30 pounds this off-season. I'm sure he'll have a good season next year but "special" is what Dwight used to be 2-3 years ago

It seems we will be needing to lower our expectations as a fanbase. In our new reality, BBD is the new standard for "special."
