Glen Davis has truly been something special.

I might be more of a skeptic but I will become a believer in the player formally known as "Big Baby" when he shows up at a weight and conditioning level expected of an athlete making $6.4M a year.

Hopefully that is why he is hanging around Amway Center so much!!!! That is what happened to JJ when he hung around the RDV all Summer before his first big year with us... I am hoping he is working his butt off (literally...LOL), with our Training staff... We shall See!! But, it is a Great sign that he always seems to be around the Amway center, unless it is just for the Free Buffets... LOL

Glen Davis is not the best player on our team. I like the guy, but he has become overrated by fans since Dwight's injury. Hopefully he keeps improving and is worthy of some of the big talk he is getting from fans.

do you guys really think he's overpaid? i mean, 6.4m for what he brings seems about right. Maybe he's slightly overpaid. I think he's better than Bass in some ways and he's getting paid about the same.

Spencer Hawes got $6.5m per year and Brook Lopez got $12+ so no, Glen Davis is no longer overpaid in relative terms.

Is Glen Davis the best player on our team, even without Dwight? Not necessarily.. maybe top three, talent wise.

But his head is screwed on straight (unlike the first half of last season) and he just brings a boat load of intangibles, even more than Jameer IMO.. and that comes from a relatively reasonable Jameer fan (his "injuries" have driven me batty at times).

But to hear what he said about not minding a rebuilding effort.. he's not the first Magic player to say something along those lines, and that right there shows me that Rob and crew have something working behind the scenes.

P.S. I don't mean a trade, I just mean that they're telling the players the right things. Just seems like a totally different air around One Magic Place with Rob/Vaughn as opposed to Otis/Stan, at least at the end there.

It will be a sad day if we trade BB away. I for one have enjoyed seeing him embrace this city and this team. His attitude is phenomenal, and you betta believe I tweet him at least once a week telling him he's the man!

I'm very glad we kept BB (at this point) instead of Ryno. BB seems to play better in pressure situations and can play PF and C. I think he's a great rotation guy at his price.

However, if we want to "purely" rebuild, in that we give significant PT to young players, I'm not sure there's a place for him. We'll see.
