I heard good things about Malone but I don't know one from the other otherwise. I do hope that Shaw is capable of adapting based on his personnel. Either that, or he needs to hire veteran assistants to help guide him. But if he is banking his coaching career on being able to implement the triangle, his coaching career will be short. Quote

There can't be a "like" when being an asst coach under a amazing head coach. Either be asst. coach under the best head coach in the league or not. Look at Spoelstra. He was the assistant coach under Pat Riley when the Heat won in 2006 before Pat Riley retired. Now look at him, the young coach lead the Heat to win it all this past season. Shaw can be like Spoelstra but even better. Also it can be interesting when Magic go against the Heat while Shaw is the coach. Quote

But did he learn anything from Phil Jackson while being the asst. coach? look at his coaching record. 32-132 with the wolves. Which team would want to hire a coach with that kinda record? Quote

To me, the way he said it sounded like he wanted Kurt Rambis as a coach. Plus lots of Magic fans like players (that become coaches) like Shaw, who was former Magic player but traded for salary cap reasons, to come back and coach for the team and give their input on how to succeed and move forward in winning games.
