AddiFB Posted July 9, 2012 Report Posted July 9, 2012 Oh I forgot Harper. Wow, we're kinda stacked at forward. Remember when we were THIN there? Quote
AddiFB Posted July 9, 2012 Report Posted July 9, 2012 Josh Robbins @JoshuaBRobbins That brings the candidate pool to 6: Hornacek, Lindsey Hunter, Mike Malone, Brian Shaw, Quin Snyder and Jacque Vaughn. I'm most interested in those three. Mike and Brian for obvious reasons, discussed back and forth on this board already... but Hornacek could be a sleeper coach. He was a smart player back in his days, Sloan-coached. He might be able to bring something good to the Tank-table. Quote

Soul Bro Posted July 9, 2012 Report Posted July 9, 2012 Maybe Otis is the NBA's version of Jimmy Carter, making Hennigan the NBA's Ronald Regan? Wow. Coming hard. "This is your brain on drugs, Dwight." Quote

MagicMan33 Posted July 9, 2012 Report Posted July 9, 2012 Also wouldnt mind seeing courtney brought back Quote
Captain Hi-Top Posted July 9, 2012 Report Posted July 9, 2012 double postage. Kind of feels more like Otis was George W, spending insanely and near bankrupting the country, for Hennigan to try to come in and clean up the mess, aka Obama. Of course Obama cleans up the mess by spending a bleepload more, just in different ways, so it's not a perfect analogy. Uhm. No. I was referring to Fran in comparison to the hostages held in Iran under Carter, and how they were released as Carter exited office. You know, in response to Soul Bro's response to the Article Junkie posted about Fran possibly coming over. Quote
nCoolness Posted July 9, 2012 Report Posted July 9, 2012 I hope Shaw, Snyder, and Malone are the top 3 and Shaw wins the Head coaching job. He will be a perfect match for our franchise. Quote

I'd really love for someone to explain to me why they think Brian Shaw will be a better coach than Kurt Rambis. 1 Quote
barnettej Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 I'd really love for someone to explain to me why they think Brian Shaw will be a better coach than Kurt Rambis. He is genetically shorter, giving him the ability to see all the action down low..... I tried. Quote
O Town Terror Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 I'd really love for someone to explain to me why they think Brian Shaw will be a better coach than Kurt Rambis. I think Shaw is only good if we can run the triangle. Without the right pieces, he's not our guy. I heard good things about Malone but I don't know one from the other otherwise. Quote
nCoolness Posted July 10, 2012 Report Posted July 10, 2012 I'd really love for someone to explain to me why they think Brian Shaw will be a better coach than Kurt Rambis. Shaw has the championship experience (3x as a player and 2x as assistant coach) as well as being the assistant coach of the All time great coach Phil Jackson. He should have the similar ideology and coaching style as Jackson. Plus he can be a great motivator for the young players and give advises to the older players about his experiences as a player. Shaw is a former Magic player and said to have a house in the Orlando area. The Magic has a goal to procede on a playoff/championship run and Brian Shaw fills out all the credentials. Shaw been a champion, and was a Magic player which he should know how this system runs. Problem with Rambis is that he was never became an assistant coach under a head coach like Phil Jackson. He tried coach in Minnesota but fail miserable and kinda acts like Stan. 1 Quote
