C'mon Echo......

No one s expecting a stacked team, except for LA....... Let me ask you this:

If every team lost there top 3 guys, where do you think the Magic would be in the pack, the top, middle or end?

Better than Miami, that's for sure.

I'm not saying we don't need a better supporting cast, simply pointing out that complaining because we lost to Detroit when we were without Dwight, Jameer AND Ryno as if we should have expected to beat them under such circumstances is foolish.

LOL.... Possibly....

Your right it is foolish to expect a win given those circumstances. However, as you pointed out earlier we were right there up the 3rd qtr... and we could have won it with those circumstances if the players didnt make the same mistakes they have always committed.....

Thats not on the Coach.

56pts in the paint...... Prince just backing down Turk easily, Jason left wide open for pop shots.... etc. Thats all on the players.

Well said captain. My thoughts exactly. I love Stan but he is not selling suites, sponsorships, etc.

LOL And neither will Dwight or the Magic when they are continuously losing season after season..... sort of like the T-Mac/Grant Hill days.... those were a blast.

#1 - Fire Otis

#2 - Hire a GM

#3 - Determine who you are going to be as a team - Keep or Fire the Coach

#4 - Gut the roster, retain your core and young piece

#5 - Sign players who fit a need or for depth of the given playing system

#6 - Commit to the overall cause of a Championship and practice hard

#7 - Execute the game plan, play with effort and everything will take care of itself

Wouldn't shock me. It would be incredibly disappointing to lose a coach the caliber of SVG simply because he doesn't bend over and kiss Dwight's ass. But I would be beyond pissed if we fired SVG and kept Otis.

Both SVG and Otis will be fired, and the Magic will start fresh,I wouldn't be suprised if we have a package deal for the exBlazers staff (Mcmillan/Pritchard).

How has this gotten six pages of :panicworker: when it's Ping? PING!! Of course it isn't true just because of that alone.

I wouldn't mind if SVG left if we got a Jerry Sloan, Doc Rivers, or something back, it all depends on who came back through that door. You can't be taken seriously on the championship front with nonsense like Chris Jent or Brian Hill.

I think we all agree that Otis is a far more serious problem at this point than Stan Van Gundy. get Dwight some better players around and more victories, especially in the playoffs, and suddenly I don't really think D12 is gonna be worried about Stan Van!

*sigh*

YOU JOKERS DON'T REALIZE HOW STAN. VAN. GRUMPY. IS THE MASTER OF PANIC. STAN VAN IS SO DISRESPECTFUL OF SUPERMAN. ONLY A PANIC MASTER WOULD FAIL TO WIN 89 GAMES WITH STUDS LIKE CARL DUHON AND HENRY TURKAFU. WHEN YOU HAVE STUDS OUT THERE LIKE NATE THE GREAT AND THE READING RAINBOW GUY, YOU HAVE TO MAKE A MOVE.

IF THE MAGICS WANT TO WIN A WORLD CHAMPIIONSHIP OF THE GALAXY THEY'LL GET RID OF THE PANICKY KRYPTONITE THAT'S HOLDING SUPERMAN BACK FROM GREATNESS. I KNOW OTIS WILL DO THE RIGHT THING.

Because SVG couldnt fill in as Center, during those games.... while SVG was playing at PG-SG-PF-SF-BENCH

This would the same as a Wide Receiver running the wrong route and blaming his QB.

You are spot on, barnettej. I'm not saying that SVG is the greatest coach, but he is a decent coach. I heard Stan preach defense in the huddle during a timeout. But when play resumed, none of what Stan said registered with the players. The Pistons scored immediately after play resumed.

I have to give it to Glen Davis. . .he busted his butt and fought hard getting us a number of rebounds (nearly) single-handedly. It was painful watching Daniel Orton. . .it was a waste of space and we can't say that his excuse is lack of playing time. This is his second year with the Magic.

Except for Glen, the rest of the team was not aggressive. I watched the Pistons where they attacked the basket time and time again with so much force, while our players were tippy-toeing around the 3 pt. line and base line.

Without Dwight, this was an excellent opportunity for our players to prove that they were not one-dimensional. But did they take advantage of that? No.

And it was not Stan's fault that the ball was not going into the basket. Even Redick struggled.

Ask yourself this: Do the Lakers beat the Nets last night without Bynum, Gasol, and Kobe??
