well i gotta say i don't think it matters, either way we probably will end up playing against both of them, so the reason i picked the bulls was merely for the entertainment factor of a sunshine state rivalry showdown in the eastern championship!

I'd actually prefer we play Miami just for the chance at knocking them out of the playoffs in 2nd round. That would be a fun series to watch, hopefully the Magic can keep a hot FG% throughout the playoffs. Miami will probably be the toughest to beat compared to Chicago, considering Magic matchups, but we're going to have to get through both eventually if we want to make the Finals. Plus beating the Heat will be much more satisfying as a Magic fan.

Playing Indiana in the first round would be the best thing for the Magic to get the the second round.

And I echo the desire for a Miami-Orlando showdown in the ECF (since we will most likely need to beat both of the big 2 anyways).

A. I feel like Dwayne Wade & LeBron James don't match up particularly well with Dwight Howard when he's on his defensive game because they live in the paint and on the free throw line, both are streaky outside shooters. Hell, Wade is nearly nonexistent from three. Against Dwight, Rose is a bigger threat than either of them because he's the best, most consistent jump shooter of the three (especially in the fourth quarter).

B. In a general sense, I believe 110 percent that Chicago is better built for the playoffs, despite their loss to them last season. Chicago's defense is more consistent, they're more workmanlike and less cocky, have a deeper bench, and play better offensively in the half court. The playoffs usually come down far more often to half court basketball than fast break/up tempo basketball, especially, again, in fourth quarters.

I think the answer is clearly Miami. ...Assuming of course, the Magic ever figure out how to stop turning the ball over, but that's another subject... :svgsad:
