Franchero MVP Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 My point is that you can't try to be Mr. Facts all the time, and paint everything as black and white when it suits you, and then stray away from that when it doesn't. I realize I'm in the minority concerning Bass' value, but if you go by most opinions on this forum you'd think he was completely useless. You're right, I agree. But, I liked Bass I thought he had ridiculous potential but it just wasn't fitting right here for some reason. He just couldn't get what van gundy wanted on defense and he was a huge black hole there. His shot is wet and the guy is a beast who can rebound, he just couldn't get into our system effectively. That said, I tink he's going to be great in Boston and why I think baby will be big for us here in orlando. I think baby is a better fit for us.

Dwight looks like he's half here for this team. Duhon needs to never play another minute. Finally, Turk needs off the team as soon as possible. I've come up with a few realistic things that I think would make us a top 3 team in the East. The first thing I'd do is give Dwight his wish and send him out. His defense is out of this world and is great in the post, but I think getting two really great players to replace one phenomenal player is an upgrade. So, I'd complete this trade: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3oojosw +1 first rounder from LA This trade dumps Dwight plus two horrible contracts for two players that can give 40 a night combined, rebound, and play good team defense. I know Bynum is a health risk, but I'd take the chance on him over letting Dwight walk/destroy this team's chemistry. After this move, the team would be: Meer/Hughes J-Rich/JJ/Wafer Q-Rich/Clark/Harper Gasol/Anderson/Baby Bynum This trade creates a bit of a log jam at PF. As soon as J-Rich is able to be traded, I would complete the following move: Orlando gets Paul Millsap (part of offseason trade rumors due to crowded front court) Jazz get J-rich, Q-rich, 2 second round picks This would allow us to move to the Lakers mold of having a huge front line that would severely disrupt teams: Meer/Hughes (vet minimum PG somewhere) JJ/Wafer/Liggins Millsap/Anderson/Harper Gasol/Baby/Anderson/Millsap Bynum/Gasol/Baby We would be the best rebounding team in the league with this lineup. They would also be extremely physical with a lot of heart, defense, and hustle. Also, no team would ever beat us in the paint. Meer and JJ combine for 25 a night. Gasol and Bynum get 30-40 a night. Millsap and Anderson for 25, and the bench with around 20 combined. We get rid of the chemistry problems, and cut some major bad contracts. Sounds like a winning team and no step back to me. Also, from what I've heard people want to see our bench warmers play more as they've shown more potential than some of our starters. This would allow that. If we stink we are in the same boat we are in now with most all of the contracts coming off the books in 2 years. Any thoughts?

I know he's listed as a PF, but I think he would work great as a SF. Take that sentence out if it really bothers you and forget I said anything about the logjam. Is the team at the end better or worse than what we have now and capable of making a finals appearance?

Bass has more talent than you and many others give him credit for, it's as simple as that. I watched the Knicks/Celtics game.
