Magicman28 Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 He's just rationalizing his decision. But the fact of the matter is that it is his choice, and it appears he wants to go to a bigger city. Bigger city has very little to do with it. He wants to win and have fun playing. Its not even fun watching this team how could it be fun playing the actual games?
Wharf Rat Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Yall SVG haters are nuts. Do yall even hear SVG when he speaks? Even HE talks about the lack of personnel just not in the same way we do. Otis is shuffling the cards while Stan is just using what hand hes holding. In the last 5 years, every year, Otis has made moves and every year we've taken a step back. We are Dwight and a bunch of 3 point shooters. That works great with guys like Hakeem but we have YET to land a number 2 punch next to Dwight and Dwight is no Hakeem. AGAIN, how a gm can liquidate all his assets for aging players that weren't stars in their own right and a player who has been amniestied all the while losing in an even worse fashion then each previous year and still has a job is beyond me. Is Devos hiring?
masazasm2 Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 IamaGMIamaGM.com Breakout Season? Brandon Bass 20-11 & Ryan Anderson 25-10 yesterday. Last season, Bass had over 20pts and Anderson had over 25pts only once.

My bad did I forget to mention that I dont like Otis either. Let me ask you a question If SVG went up to Jrich and said out of your next 10 shots 6 of them need to be around the basket or im going with someone else this game do you think that Jrich would start being more aggressive? I'm sick of people saying that all we have are 3 point shooters. Every single person on our team is capable of cutting to the basket (Ask Matt Barnes how many open looks you get at the rim when you try that method)

Yes, that's a good idea. Our players should be trying to keep track of how many of their shots were at/near the rim as a percentage, rather than just taking open shots as they get them.

Every single person on our team is capable of cutting to the basket (Ask Matt Barnes how many open looks you get at the rim when you try that method) Jrich is doing what Jrich has always done. Taking what the defense gives him. Never in his career has he been known as one who creates offense. Right now our creators are Meer with his penetration and Dwight and his low post game. Hedo at some extent is too but his speed isn't what it use to be. He wasn't known for speed regardless. Meer's problem is he lacks size at times to finish sometimes and sometimes he makes bad passes and Dwight still is limited offensively. Its why this team really needs to go all out on the defensive side. We need a better creator.
Stu Bronsilino Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 .. a.k.a. Nike it doesn't matter who owns jordan brand. from a marketing poing of view they probably love having their two brands on the biggest stars on the team in nba spotlight, false competition. my whole point is, the sponsors opinion of wade and lebron on a team vs dwight and d.rose on a team is not analogous in this case because of the branding.
KRISH10 Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 I get what ya'll are saying but as a College ball player I know from experience that when a guy is only shooting outside jumpers it is easier to contest than when you have to prepare for them driving to the basket as well. I'm nt suggesting that Jrich can turn into Lebron or anything i'm just saying a couple plays here or there he needs to put the ball on the floor and drive the lane. You'd be surprised what a couple of quick baskets can do for your confidence and shooting touch. One person who gets it is JJ, Not a great athlete but he has worked on his handles and speed enough where he can get to the basket from time to time

You'd be surprised what a couple of quick baskets can do for your confidence and shooting touch. One person who gets it is JJ, Not a great athlete but he has worked on his handles and speed enough where he can get to the basket from time to time JJ and Jrich drive probably about the same amount of times. The problem is no matter how athletic they are its about decision making and play vision before the play happens. JJ is less likely to make mistakes so he makes a lot of safe plays but fails to always make a high risk high reward play. Jrich just isn't the player to make decisions outside of dunking or laying it up. When the defense collapses they are both going to react by passing it to either the closest player or usually someone at the 3 point line. A CP3 player can see plays to be created not just ones that present themselves. As a player myself, a pg at that, I know the difference. Your better off hoping like others here that Otis can pull a rabbit out of his hat and get that player OR our defense become smothering. Or both. That would be a contending team. That's why mainly Dwight wants to go to NJ...Deron Williams is a creator. For himself and his teammates.
