2012 Year of the Movie?

Recommended Posts

It seems like next year is to be one of the bigger years when it comes to movie releases we have seen recently. A lot of trailers have recently been dropped so I figured I would throw em up here and we could all discuss what were really looking forward too and which ones we are nervous about.

The first one I will show is the one I'm by far most excited for, a movie I have waited well over a decade now for (and for most people, far longer then that). The Hobbit, due out December 14th.

Number two on my anticipation list is definitely The Hunger Games, due out March 23rd. With Harry Potter done, and Twilight ending this year as well, this has become the next crazy popular teen book series to get the movie treatment, and if it lives up to it's billing, will be the best.

Number three has got to be The Avengers. Due out in May, my favorite director Joss Whedon finally gets his first shot at a big budget Hollywood movie, although I kinda am not happy about Ed Norton not being back to reprise his role as Bruce Banner.

Four I guess would be most people's number one, but I never was the biggest Batman fan really. Either way I am looking forward to The Dark Knight Rises, especially after the incredible second movie. I'm really interested most in seeing how Anne Hathaway does as Catwoman, who is one of my favorite comic book characters out there. So far no release date, just Summer time.

I agree with ya. My Girlfriend loves movie trailers (her favorite part of going to the movies, mines the popcorn....), so I decided to download as many movie trailers for 2012 as I could and to make her some DVD's with them on. She loved the gift, and I came away with a list of movies I now must see this year coming.
