The Official Dwight Howard Everything Thread

Recommended Posts

Charles Barkley hinted that it was is in the best interest of the NBA for Dwight to be in NJ. It would not look good for a big market team that just built a big new stadium to be a lottery team. There are alot of Magic haters around, and they always seem to pop up when the Magic start playing well.

what a hater. A month prior Barkley was saying he hopes Dwight stays.

In the pregame Dwight had the biggest smile I have seen on him all year!

Did you see 12 through out the game? I honetlt thought it was a flashback to when he was a rookie. It looked fun for him again. But he missed a pretty off the glass alley-oopfrom J-Rich. THAT better make ESPN not top ten. LOL. Couldn't believe my eyes.

It's not like Barkley was contradicting himself. He can want Dwight to stay, but it still doesn't mean it isn't bad for the league for the Brooklyn Nets to start off as a lottery team.

Mmm. Barkley has always be a fan of the Magic and Dwight. You can read between the lines and MAYBE he COULD be implying the sinister Stern and NBA somehow facilitating Dwight's exit to the bigger city. NBA is corrupt. It has always favored the bigger cities due to better ratings on TV. The Spurs is a prime example of how a small city can win championships multiple times, but profit wise, their NBA Finals showing were some of the lower rated on television. At the end of the day, the NBA is a BUSINESS. But glad Dwight chose to stay. Dwight's stance may be the catalyst that could help smaller markets gain legitimacy. If he brings bigger stars to Orlando, our ratings and fan base could increase and help the NBA business in the long run by ensuring that small markets CAN survive and win at the same time. The Orlando Magic of the 90's had that popularity going with Shaq and Penny. Shaq leaving was the beginning of the end for the "small market" so do speak. So Howard's current stance is a reversal of that ... Superman did the right thing and will be remembered.
