BMP Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Everyone wants to bash on what im saying but no one is saying who we can trade dwight for.. all you guys are gut less.. im saying, i DONT WANT DWIGHT TO GET TRADED!!! Get that thru your thick skulls! You would rather Dwight leave and we get nothing than to trade him? thats just stupid!!! give me a reasonable trade.. IF THATS THE CASE! Damn, you guys talk a lot, but cant even answer the question.. did you not see the topic of this? TRADES THAT COULD HAPPEN!!!! Several people have already said why it's, without a doubt, better not to trade Dwight than to trade him for the fat Kardashian and Bynum. Why don't you take the time to read those posts, think about them for a few minutes, then delete your TBN account. 1 Quote

No one wants to give teams (especially the Lakers) Free championships Dwight has no leverage as not many popular or large markets can sign him outright except for NJ and maybe Boston. Nobody wants old losers and players with glass legs for a superstar, young talent and draft picks or nothing. Its better to rebuild from nothing then ride the long train of 40-win-team-8th-seed mediocrity. Quote
Soul Bro Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 If it becomes clear that D12 isn't going to re-sign with the Magic, I'd be open to getting Bynum and flipping Gasol and Odom for younger talent (e.g. Derrick Williams, James Harden), expirings and picks, especially if we can dump Arenas, too. Sorry, I don't want D12 to walk for nothing, if he intends on walking. However, it's not worth trading D12 for has-beens, if we can't flip 'em. 1 1 Quote

Perhaps, though I'm fairly certain MN would be quite open to adding Pau for something like Derrick Williams, Webster and Pekovic. Seems like a steal to me. They'd probably even add a first. Plus, Odom would be worth a first to a playoff team. Quote
Emory889 Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 I'd rather slit my wrists in front of my parents than gift wrap the Lakers another hall of fame center. Screw the Lakers. If Dwight wants to leave, let him leave, and we can start sucking sooner and start the rebuilding process. Again. 1 Quote

BMP Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Perhaps, though I'm fairly certain MN would be quite open to adding Pau. We all know Kahn's a fool, but he'd have to beyond stupid to trade picks and young guys for Pau Gasol and his huge contract. Oh yeah, not to mention that they'd have to give up half their roster just to match Gasol's salary, since they probably won't be able to absorb it since they should be over the cap next year. Gasol makes $18.7mil next year. Not including Rubio (as I don't know what his contract's going to look like), you'd have to add the Timberwolves' 3 highest paid players to get near that number. So now we're talking about the Wolves getting rid of Beasley, DWill, and Webster (or Darko) along with a lottery pick for Pau Gasol???? Quote

Here's the trade, although I'd want D.Williams over Beasley: http://games.espn.go...tradeId=3opqa45 Getting a package like Webster, D.Williams, Bynum and picks for D12 and Arenas is about the best we'd be able to do.
