Pick-up basketball

Anybody interested in playing some pickup games sometime? "Ryan the Magic Fan" was interested in starting something. It'd be a fun bonding experience. We're in the exploratory phase right now.

 

Hey guys, sorry it took me so long to check in on this. I got no problem being the one to get it all organized and put together. I see that the key thing that needs to be worked out is location more then anything. I personally vote for the Lake Mary Sports Complex. Even though there are one's closer to me it's a great place and I play there all the time. The location though can be up for discussion.

 

I know someone in the chat mentioned kind of jokingly of maybe asking if we can use Dan as a contact to maybe grabbing a court at RDV. If this is in anyway possible I'd love to have that done, as it would be easier on many people's knees.

 

So here is what I'd like everyone to do. I looked through the thread so far and see that there is certainly a lot of interest in this. So I would like everyone who is ready and willing to do it put down these things:

 

What area are you coming from and how far are you willing to Drive?

What Day and time is best for you?

How long would you like to stick around for?

 

I'd like to stress one thing though. This doesn't have to be just a meet up for Bball. If yall are willing to help out I can bring some food and/or drinks and afterwards we can chill for a bit and eat. That or we could all go to a local sports bar kind of place and eat if thats how you wanna handle it, but seeing as will probably all be kinda sweaty I'd stick with eating at the courts.

 

I got other ideas too, like everyone wearing a Magic jersey they don't mind playing in, and if we get enough players having a kind of draft here on the board and then doing a tournament on the courts.

where are the "spots" to play ball in orlando? haven't been in a minute. I used to play at a park near Trinity prep, Amare Stoudemire came there once.

I live about 80 miles outside Orlando, but I would gladly drive that just to kick some of yoru butt's in basketball. Especially those of you that always talk about how there should be a - post number to start a new topic, or that retarded IBFTL stuff. Better yet, I have a gym here I play twice a week indoors at a Community College.
