Offseason Thread part 2

There is a difference between being a homer and not being an extreme pessimist.

I'm grounded in reality brother.

Instead of waiting for a deal that made sense for this team, Otis blew his load on a bunch of crap.

And overly redundant. I think think he has had a single post that wasn't talking about how much Otis sucks. . . we get it, put that on your sig and actually try to talk about something else. Reminds me of those people that get drunk and tell you the same story over and over again. Yeah man, it was cool the first 12 times, now it's just *****ing annoying.

I've just seen this coming for the past couple years. Just posting my frustration brosef

What do you guys think about this?

Instant Title Contenders. People that want to win, so D12 will be pleased and re-sign.

* Re-Sign Earl Clark to a 3 year 4 million dollar contract.

A lot of defensive potential for a contract which will be very reasonable.

* http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6e9x52qt

This trade is perfect for us and the other teams involved. We get a go to scorer finally. Also get somebody to help Dwight out on the boards while giving up quite a bit, but no doubt this trade improves the team.

* S&t Jason Richardson along with Chris Duhon for Antwan Jamison

We get somthing for J-Rich, which is all that really matters. Jamison can still be a very good scorer and provides a lot of size at the SF spot.

* Draft Twaun Moore at 53.

Like his skills as a combo guard, reminds me a little bit of Gil.

* Sign Tayshaun Prince to a 2 year deal for about 9 million (from MLE)

* Sign Ethan Thomas to a 1 year deal for about 1.2 million (from MLE)

A vet to put behind D-12 while Orton develops (hopefully). And Booz will be getting most back-up Center minutes anyway.

PG: Gilbert Arenas (24) - CJ Watson (20) - Monta Ellis (4) - Twaun Moore (Limited/Reserve)

SG: Monta Ellis (32) - Gilbert Arenas (8) - Quentin Richardson (8)

SF: Antwan Jamison (26) - Earl Clark (11) - Tayshaun Prince (11)

PF: Carlos Boozer (19) - Ryan Anderson (18) - Tayshaun Prince (11)

C: Dwight Howard (33) - Ethan Thomas (3) - Carlos Boozer (12) - Daniel Orton (Limited/Reserve)

Monta Ellis = 36

Dwight Howard = 33

Gilbert Arenas = 32

Carlos Boozer = 31

Antwan Jamison = 26

Tayshaun Prince = 22

CJ Watson = 20

Ryan Anderson = 18

Earl Clark = 11

Quentin Richardson = 8

Ethan Thomas = 3

Dan Orton = Reserve

Twaun Moore = Reserve

I don't want Antawn unless we are clearing cap space. Plus J-Rich wouldn't sign in CLE unless they gave him the max or something. As for the other trade, I don't see Chicago doing it, and also GS would have two starting quality SF's while only having a borderline starter in JJ at SG. Nice effort though. :)

Personally, if Dwight wants talent NOW, then I think we should go for Boozer and OJ Mayo via trades. Then try to sign Prince or Battier. Best case scenario for a defensive wing would be Batum imo. Stephen Jackson could also be a possibility.

Mayo trade: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=43bc7l4

Boozer trade: J-Rich+Bass for Boozer

Batum trade (unlikely): http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3wv6c7r

Somewhat realistic. (I know I used players twice lol)

A lot more logic put into this compared to what we've seen lately. Nice work

ooooh, you mean E'Twaun Moore. I was like Twaun Moore, WTF is that?

I hate it when a name has two capital letters, I usually just get rid of one of them lol.

I saw Marcin Gortat today at work. I looked up at him and told him I missed him, the city of Orlando misses him and we needed him. He was so nice. He has a hot girlfriend to.

After watching highlights of a certain player named Stephen John Nash, I'd love him on our roster.

The guy carried the #1 offense for like 8 years through his years in dallas and the suns, and we really need that boost on offense.

It can be seen that championship teams have not always had the top #5 defenses in the league, but they always have the top notch offenses.

Dwight will always make us a top 5 defense, and with a couple of changes at the wings to make life tougher on Lebron and Wade, we'd have the perfect mix of defense and offense especially with Nash running dat pickroll banana.

In conclusion:

Amnesty Amway Arenas.

Make Gortat's life miserable and get Nash over here.

Defensive guys at the 2 and 3 who can shoot the tree pointers.

Ryan in the starting line up with a better overall game and defense (good rebounding help for Dwight)

Jameer 6th man?

Ships everywhere.
