Obviously Emeka's contract handicaps us, but his contract would be an expiring after CP3's contract year. That would be enticing for many teams looking to lower their expenses. Being a bad team with lottery picks and cap space and being a bad team stuck in the mid first round and no cap space are two totally different things If the Magic Front Office is going to give up and go with that kind of defeatist attitude, they better do it with the intent of bringing in lottery picks and a way to dump Hedo/Arenas, not trading Dwight for guys that wouldn't make the team a contender, wouldn't have much of a future with the team, and wouldn't ensure any good lottery picks. There's several weeks between now and the CBA expiration, and likely months of lockout after that.
