chuch719 Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 Listen, I'm as disappointed as any other die hard Magic fan but I love my team, and no matter who is on the team and what GM comes along and builds the worst roster with the 3rd highest payroll in basketball I will still support them. Lets point out a couple of things before I express myself here. Turk and Arenas are going nowhere. Those contracts are not going to be moved, because quite frankly there are no other contracts int he NBA that are worst than these. Arenas is an over the hill nut case that has lost all ability to get past any defender in the NBA, NCAA or High school. Turks best quality is Dwight Howard, is not what Turk can do for Dwight is what Dwight can do for Turk. Hedo does nothing outside of pass the ball to Dwight, his shot was non existent in the playoffs and he's defense or below average at best. Now that we have that out of the way, I think the only thing we can do is embrace those players and hope that they improve next year. Since Arenas is going to be here, he needs to start, we can't pay him 20Mil a year to be a bench warmer. If we can trade Nelson, JJ and Anderson for Al Jefferson and Raja Bell it would help us out in the 1 thing that we haven't been able to fix since Lewis got signed. We will have a true big man next to Howard for help defense and rebounding. Resign Richardson, draft a PG and Pray that Orton can play next year. Sign a backup C and another wing player with the MLE and then I believe we can compete. Most teams are going small (Celtics trade Perkins, Heat don't have any bigs and Bulls have an undersized PF and C) If we can go 2 bigs surrounded by good shooters and pray to GOD that Arenas can run this team we can compete next year. PG: Arenas SG: J. Richardson SF: Turk PF: Jefferson C: Howard Bench PG: Duhon/Draft SG: Bell/Q. Richardson SF: FA/Q.Richardson PF: Bass/FA C: Orton/FA 6 Quote
Sir Raven Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 I like.... but we cud use a back up center and maybe 2 wing players Quote
Eyriq the Cookie Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 Turk played excellent defense and Arenas got to the rim at will. That is all, you may continue on with your scheduled hate. Quote

Captain Hi-Top Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 It's a sad day when I have to read arguments such as "Gilbert and Turk have to start because they make too much money". The question should be who gives us the best chance of winning, not who makes the most money. Should Stan be hamstrung when coaching this team by salaries and the short comings of Otis? Sorry, but "Otis made a mistake by bringing in Arenas, but ***** it, let's make it worse by forcing Stan to go with Arenas as our starting PG, just to make matters worse" doesn't work for me. Unless, of course, your intent is to simple prove to Dwight that he definitely should leave Orlando. 2 Quote
chuch719 Posted May 1, 2011 Author Report Posted May 1, 2011 As bad as Arenas is he was still able to get the ball to Howard better than Nelson on the Pick and Roll. I would love to get my hands on CP3 or DWill but we all know that all the chances of that happening went down the drain with the trade for Turk. I just think we are better off playing Arenas to start than Nelson and we can use Nelson as a trading chip for a big. We don't have enough to get a superstar wing player but I do believe we have enough to get a very good PF. Lets stack up down low where we will have a huge advantage than any other team in the NBA. P.S. For those of you who think I'm CRAZY!!!! Why don't you post a better Idea and if your idea is staying with the same team and making small changes, then get ready for those days of loosing 19 in a row when Dwight walks out the door next year. 4 Quote
Joseph_Kuhr Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 I was under the impression that the we wanted to go younger... where are all of these manu trades coming from? How is this a good idea? Quote
Perciville Jones Posted May 1, 2011 Report Posted May 1, 2011 I don't know why people want to trade with the spurs. They keep talking about getting manu, parker, or jefferson. Why does anyone want jefferson? The only one I would want on the spurs roster is gary neal. Quote

Captain Hindsight Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Trade Arenas to the Nets for Deron. Trade Hedo to Portland for Crash and Batum. S&T J-Rich to Philly for Iggy. Trade Bass and Duhon to the Rockets for Clee and Dragic. Trade Jameer to the Kings for Dalembert. Trade Orton to the Raptors for Ed Davis. And boom goes the dynamite, team rebuilt and ready to go. Add a couple of scrub players to sit on the bench and we've got a stew going. Deron/Dragic Iggy/JJ Crash/Batum Davis/Ryno Dwight/Dalembert Quote
deehee33 Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 Please trade DH #12 now.. Whom ever is interested in acquiring him must take Arenas in the deal. ( Maybe, Bynum and Odom for Arenas and Howard ???) 6 Quote
