AddiFB Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 A view from GJ. It was awesome standing there and just look around. Rashard talking to someone after the Wiz game SHARD! :D I drove past the Center quite a few times on my way from spot A to spot B and I enjoyed every single time. It was just a great feeling being this close to the Magic after being a fan for so long but never "there". I often turned my head around when I had passed it just so say goodbye, see you tomorrow. Even the last time I was there, when we got icecream at Oopsy Scoopsy, I promised to be back and say hello again. Amway friggin Arena... O-RENA! This is where I got the weirdest feeling. A bittersweet tingle. I was so excited to see the ol' Arena right there in front of me. It felt surreal, yet so real. Too bad I didn't see the Magic play there and I will never see this place again. A real shame. I liked all the different curves and shapes in and around the Arena Quote
AddiFB Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 This is basically the look I had the entire trip to Orlando... big grins and smiles took over occasionally though :shard: Palm trees. I like palm trees. All we have here is.. like.. christmas trees here and there but mostly just dull small trees. We got a lot of grass. And moss. We're basically the Moon with grass and a few trees. Our pool and tub We don't have these guys at home, so they were welcome to eat the flies and bugs that sneaked into the garden. I called him Jameer. Otis leaving after the Wiz game. Stan the Man - Hah I remember when he drove off, I was standing almost directly in front of him and a police officer asked me to stay behind the guardrail or walk away. I moved back and Stan gave me a little thumbs up. Too bad I didn't manage to get a picture of it! I love American big rigs! The older ones especially, the newer too, but the older ones are just so.. evil! Big, chunky... Here we have these European versions that leave nothing to the imagination and don't have that "Wow" factor. This one isn't the coolest one, just one of many. The Center looks very nice at night. Hello Vince. How's Phoenix? Oh MP, how's being a Sun? Hi Rashard! 1 Quote
AddiFB Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 I think this was the first time ever hearing the American national anthem with my own ears, not through TV or radio. I love those screens. Too bad we lost the Kings game. People were really upset and left with about a minute to go. I want this place in one of the malls here at home. Please? I wanted that car. Love Challengers! Yeah, we even had a little pool table and table tennis in our garage... We went to both Mall at Millenia and Florida Mall. Both are nice, but the Millenia one seems a bit more nice. I liked all the design details in there. One of my favorite cars ever. We took a lot of pics of cars. I won't put many of them here. You guys see those kinds of cars on a daily basis anyways. Yeah. A whale Beetle! Hi, Amway. We drove to Daytona and the Daytona 500 race was in full speed. It was amazing hearing those cars speeding by, just the roars made me smile. Very cool to be next to this legendary track. Quote
AddiFB Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 We checked out some car dealerships. My favs were the Lambo and Ferrari ones. Too bad it was after closing, but we did manage to see a few though. Mind = Blown I did NOT take my talents to South Beach! Colors... So... Many... COLORS! Didn't buy any though... I did buy some T-Shirts though hah Healthy American breakfast... Lots of whole grain... and other stuff. These might be a few of our members, actually. This one was riding the Crocotrain home, it took forever to walk. Quote
AddiFB Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 Pwetty boids! The details in this guy's feathers made my eyes go bonkers Bubba and Cooter.. they were fun. What's the difference between an aligator and a crocodile? They way you spell it! This place was cool. If I was a young kid, I would have loved to fool around there. Choking the chicken, are we? Oh I'm staring at you. I see what you're doing. Is this someone here? This was a pretty cool place to walk through. HIGH trees, swamps, different sounds all around. A pretty long walk, but for a guy who loves to see and experience something different, it was fun. These guys were fun. "How do you know this gator is male? If it was female, it wouldn't have kept its mouth shut for this long" Quote
AddiFB Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 So cool to see these views and buildings with my own two eyes. A view from the Ozone. An AC staff member was very nice to us. He offered his assistance if we needed to get around, where to go and what to see. Even the elevator guy chatted with us, asking where we're from, telling us how to get from point A to point B. Another staff member was picking up trash from the floor and walked over to me as I was taking pictures and pointed out the Magic history area where I could take pictures with life-size posters of some players. Thanks to all of them! Baseline bar is pretty cool looking. Clean and modern. I wanted to buy seats in the loge boxes, because of my back. Citrus Bowl in the sunset. Those two pillars were cool. Different colors and shapes running around them all the time.. and Stuff being Stuff on top of one of them at one time. These girls must be friends with Dwight, since they fly like Supergirls. Quote
AddiFB Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 Dwight shooting freebies. He made that one! This was during the Kings game. I think it was after someone drove past JJ rather easily and Dwight made a funny move with his arms and hands like he was making fun of JJ after the Hinrich-maneuver. Yeah I did take a lot of pics of Dwight. He is, after all, our franchise player. Right? This is a few seconds after Hedo was keeping the ball in air with his feet, like football (sorry, soccer). AddiFB Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 Sweater vest guy This was cool From my last visit to the Center Quote
AddiFB Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 Hah I like the little things, the details that make you smile Yeah... Old Town was cool. A bit too much of new things for my taste though. Monster trucks! Weird painting Quote
AddiFB Posted February 28, 2011 Author Report Posted February 28, 2011 That's a big dude... Beautiful places at City Walk. Wish we had the time to check out the entire Universal Studios. Here I am, FRESH in the first morning in Orlando First a whale Beetle, now a lobster Beetle! Quote
NittanyBuc Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Wow, nice to see that you got the whole Florida experience Addi. Many of us here take the local stuff for granted and may not have the same appreciation as you did (not saying we don't) so I'm sure your time here was indescribable. A truly amazing post with your descriptions makes you sound like a little kid in a toy store! That honestly sounded like something straight out of a magazine or a book. All in all, I'm happy you enjoyed your trip to the US and hope you get to make many many more trips back! Quote
BMP Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Stan the Man - Hah I remember when he drove off, I was standing almost directly in front of him and a police officer asked me to stay behind the guardrail or walk away.
