ball junkie Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 All the statistical evidence of which position is the strongest or weakest aside....I think it's interesting in whom SVG almost always chooses to run his offense through in the 4th quarter. Especially in those pressure packed possessions late in the last two minutes of games..... He had a name..... His name was HEDO TURKOGLU !!!!! "ball".... Ha-Ha-Ha 1 5 Quote

KandiKane Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 I do not know what our weakest position is. I just want Duhon and his 4 year contract gone! If we can rid ourselfs of that burden then I will be happy! 1 Quote

Quit playing dumb. Your response had little to do with Turk...and I'm not one of the guys that gave you a negative rep. 1 1 Quote
iddelen Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 Pretty simple question. What is this team's weakest position? (I also would make a strongest position thread, yet I think we all know that such belongs to Dwight and the center position). So ... I hate to say this but I believe our weakest position is point guard. Yes, we have depth. Yes, we have experience. However, I still think we are just slightly above average at the position. Jameer is solid offensively but not great. Defensively, he is sub-par. Gilbert looks lost offensively and continues to shoot poorly. And he, too, is a sub-par defender. Your thoughts? Let's assume for a second that our weakest position is point guard. Would Magic become a better team if we trade for a better PG like D.Williams? I doubt that. Such a trade would change the way we play a lot. I think this team we have now will get better in time, esp. at the defensive end. I assume Otis will be looking for another big before the deadline instead of a PG. And we will see where it gets us to. Another point is whatever we do we will always have a weakest position. Every team has one. 1 4 Quote

Chase Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 I'm really suprised no one has said back up center yet. I'm not tryin to bash the job Ryno and Bass have been doing but when it comes to the Playoffs we're going to need another big to hold it down, and I'm not about to trust M. Allen when it's crunch time. I'd also like to make the case that our PF spot is iffy...but it could be a lot better if Stan would start Ryno. Right? Quote
