nbr 15 Report post Posted August 23, 2010 fair enough i think it is a shame tv is not getting behind it here like they did with the soccer world cup. id pay extra to watch the games on foxtel on a 50" screen but that is me. hahaha. Believe me, I'd like to watch it on a 50 inch as well.
deadman54 7 Report post Posted August 24, 2010 Both Kaman and Dirk are out, I think Angola has a chance against Germany :headbang: yep i would have to agree there germany may just struggle to make it out of pool play
Manu Ginobili 61 Report post Posted August 24, 2010 If Delfino keeps his current level, he may be able to duplicate what Manu could bring to the team, therefore focusing in getting to the Semis or Finals. Our big disadvantage is the lack of quality big men outside of Scola, but if Chapu Nocioni is at 100%, he, Delfino and Prigioni could get us somewhere. My 6th Rebuild 6 Report post Posted August 24, 2010 Sorry but USA is not going to win with no bigs. USA beat a Spain team with no Pau Gasol. If Gasol were playing USA would have lost. Odom at Center is not going to work.
KandiKane 136 Report post Posted August 25, 2010 Sorry but USA is not going to win with no bigs. USA beat a Spain team with no Pau Gasol. If Gasol were playing USA would have lost. Odom at Center is not going to work. Love how people use 'ifs'. If this USA team had been together as long as the spanish team has then they would kill spain. If this USA team had Dwight Howard and Spain had Pau Gasol, USA would kill this spain team. Its not about 'ifs', its about 'nows'!
Manu Ginobili 61 Report post Posted August 26, 2010 And there we go.... Bye bye Argentina from Finals Hopes. Without Chapu, the skill set of the team, outside of Delfino, Scola and Prigioni is very limited. Now I think a Semi would be almost impossible. http://www.ole.com.ar/basquet/ahora-podra-defendernos_0_323967718.html Funny he used a Maradona quote from USA '94 for his current state. Captain Hi-Top 791 Report post Posted August 30, 2010 PR could surprise someone, Manolo (our coach) will do us in though. His insistence of playing Arroyo and Barea as our starting guards is a problem. I like our young crop which may use this tournament to establish themselves on the team. If our vets allow them, of course. They certainly surprised me. 0-2?
Manu Ginobili 61 Report post Posted August 30, 2010 We are 2-0, still not winning in convincing fashion, but with a lot of guts. Anyway, the only 2 teams that I see being really solid so far is US and Turkey. But my prediction remains being US Vs. Spain in the final.

OrlandoNKentucky 54 Report post Posted August 30, 2010 Watching this makes me wish that we had at a chance at getting Rudy Gay. He has a very smooth style of play would have been a great asset for the team this year. However, if this is the USA's "B" team - its going to be dangerous to see what could happen if we combine parts of our A team with our B team. Brazil is looking pretty good right now, will be interesting to see how this young team responds. Durant and Rose take over thats my guess. USA wins but its by less than 10. KLR 5 Report post Posted August 30, 2010 They certainly surprised me. 0-2? Sad thing is that I'm not surprised about that. It was sad watching Arroyo play hurt at the SG spot towards the end of the game against Russia, particularly knowing that we have 3 guys that could have done a much better job.
