It all depends on how long the Hawks/Bucks series takes... the Bucks don't look like they are going to lose at home, so maybe a while.

Skywise316, bitter by how poorly Stephen Jackson & Gerald Wallace did for him in Drive To The Finals, simply says "Good riddance."

Nope.

First time in a best of seven.

I would have answered accordingly had he been more specific ECHO4PAPA.

I would have said you were wrong, if you were. How 'bout you unbunch those panties?

I can see why you would assume I wear panties, but your rationale behind whether not I actually wear them is uninformed.

One big choice in '04 affecting both Magic, Bobcats now

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Here we find the Bobcats and Magic, separated not just by three games in their lopsided first-round playoff series but a decision made six years ago:

Dwight Howard or Emeka Okafor?

Nothing was at stake in the choice Orlando faced with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 Draft, other than millions of dollars, prestige, a title contention in the future and a chance to become an elite franchise.

Yes, no pressure at all, not even for Charlotte, then an expansion franchise holding the No. 2 pick.

"We think we made the right decision, in hindsight," said Bob Vander Weide, the Magic's CEO, with a slight grin.

You think? Well, at the time, it wasn't so clear cut. Okafor was fresh from leading Connecticut to the national championship and was the most visible big man if not player in the entire Draft. He wasn't seen as the perfect pick, just the safe one, the kind of player who could have a long and solid NBA career.

As for Howard, he was a mystery to all except those who scouted him extensively. As a high school star who declared hardship (before the NBA's one-year waiting rule was enforced), Howard was largely untested against top competition and was more of a roll of the dice. The last teen-aged big man to go first overall was Kwame Brown just four years earlier.

Howard or Okafor?
