D-White Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 we all know VC is clutch, but how does he measure up against the rest of the league? since the 03-04 season, VC has made the 2nd most number of gamewinners according to 82games.com http://www.82games.com/gamewinningshots.htm (data is from 03-04 season until february of last season.) TOP 5 in the list: 1. lebron 2. vince carter 3. ray allen 4. kobe 5. carmelo Quote

Nyce_1 Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 our games next season won't get that close Quote
AddiFB Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 How is Vince under pressure (plate)? Is he clutch (disc)? We all know he can fly(wheel)... Ok lame post of the evening, thank you. Quote
KillingInTheNameOf Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 Hedo 8-16, VC 16-51... I guess the key to being cluth is taking a lot of shots??? Quote
Miller4Prez64 Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 Hedo is 23rd too. But I thought VC chokes in the clutch and Hedo is money? Quote
MaxaMillion711 Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 im sick of these comparisons between VC and Hedo BOTH are very clutch! Lets all get along Quote
AddiFB Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 I still don't understand why Vince and Hedo are being compared so much. The one who wants Hedo over Vince needs a headcheck. Sure Hedo is good and I love the guy, but he ain't all what he is said to be. He's gone from underrated to severely overrated in a matter of weeks. Quote

Actually, in the last 1.5 seasons (not counting the second half of last season) VC is hitting game winning/tying shots at a clip of 8-20 .400. http://www.82games.com/random12.htm Hedo isnt on the first list compiled so that would suggest he has gone 8-16 in the last season and a half, but regardless these number suggest that vc: 1. gets no respect from the fans(outside this board and NJ) dispite producing at a rate comparable to Hedo's 2. the guy is clutch and still has something left. In fact he has gotten much better at game winner in the last two seasons. Quote

Yeah I was waiting for someone who was going to point out how dumb it is to say he is a great clutch shooter. The guy for one is always behind so he has more opportunities, and as posted above his shooting % is horrendous and his TO ratio is very high. Hedo has had way less opportunities and to say he is not as good is a stupid thing to say. Quote
