Penny Hardaway's Ghost 260 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 well if VC commits, he's a solid defender, Pietrus will probably have a bigger role, Bass is a good defender on the bigger guys, Dwight is Dwight, if we pickup another defensive minded big say a Ratliff or something to backup Dwight that will be nice...I think we take a step sideways as of right now...we'll have to see what shakes out with the roster... Darth Evil Dead 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 I think our Team will be better on D this year. Dwight of course is only 23 and is going to keep on improving. Also Carter is 6 foot 6 playing the SG so he will match up better then Lee on big guards... Then we finally have a defensive minded PF on the team with Bass. Bass has massive long arms that will cause problems on other teams. If Howard can turn a Horrid Defensive player in Turk and make him look good. Wait till you see how Bass will look on D with howard. You're Fat, Pat! 98 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 Our starters last year were: Jameer Lee Turk Lew Dwight and we were one of the best defensive teams in the league. All we need is Dwight and the great defensive coaching by SVG, and we are a good defensive team.

DanzigMagic 11 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 quote: Originally posted by Darth Evil Dead:If Howard can turn a Horrid Defensive player in Turk and make him look good. Absolute Truth. Turk did not play defense. Sometimes he stumbled into it in one of his awkward half azzed drives to the basket, but he didn't mean to.
