Robert56 Posted April 30, 2007 Report Posted April 30, 2007 While I was at work this morning I had to defuse a problem invloving from young adults that came over to work here for the summer. While checking their passports I found that there were a number from Serbia, only one spoke broken English. I asked them if anyone had watched the playoffs between the Magic and the Pisotns. The response I got was overwhelmng and I am glad that from thier tone I wasn't Brian Hill. For the most part these kids thought that Darko was not getting to play right. That the coach was very ingnorent (sp) he shouldn't be allowed to coach "baby teams"? They thought that Darko should have shot more from the outside than he did. They also think that he will do much better for their home team this summer. Quote

Serbia is a very small country in South-Eastern Europe with only 6 million people but that is not preventing this small country to have highest number of international NBA players over the years. One of the reasons for this phenomenon is that Serbs are the tallest nation in the world, on average 6-2 for men, and 5-9 for women. Another reason is huge tradition, Serbia won 13 European titles, 5 World Championships(last one in Indianapolis 2002), 2 Olympic titles, and many many many second and third places in international competition. Are you kidding me??? Country with only 6 million people??? That is the same if state of Nevada ball team won all of that!!! Let me remind you of some of the names from present and past that come from this basketball wonderland: Nenad Krstic Zarko Cabarkapa Vlade Divac Marko Jaric Predrag Drobnjak Drazen Petrovic Zeljko Rebraca Vladimir Radmanovic Toni Kukoc Sasha Vujacic Mile Ilic Rasho Nesterovic Sasha Pavlovic Dino Radja Peja Stojakovic Gordan Giricek Zoran Planinic Dragan Tarlac Sasha Djordjevic Predrag Danilovic Zarko Paspalj . . . and Darko Milicic How about first international coach in the NBA - Igor Kokoskov, then second international coach in the NBA Aleksandar Dzikic, then serbian-american greats Pistol Pit Maravic, Gregg Popovic, Rudy Tomjanovic ... Remember my post from 5-6 months ago that Darko will get 10+ million a year??? It is coming to be true, Otis' and BHill's dirty plan to put down his value this season and get him cheap is obviously not going to work!!!
