Orlando Magic fans cheer when J.J. Redick gets up off the bench. They cheer for him to shoot when he catches the ball beyond the 3-point line. And, oh, do they ever cheer for him when he drills a shot from the outside.

Tonight, those fans might actually get to see Redick take one of those shots in a playoff game.

Magic coach Brian Hill admitted Thursday morning that he was contemplating using the rookie shooting guard tonight in an effort to spread the floor and create more space inside for Dwight Howard.

The thinking is that even though Redick is a rookie and hasn

I can't stand all this negativity on this board. It's funny after a Magic win how quiet this board becomes.

You guys need to put your hatred of Brian Hill aside and realize that the Magic team will always be "way" more important then any coach or player ever will be.

Here's to hoping for a win tonight to quiet the crowd.

Lastly, anybody that's pulling for the Magic to lose cause they hate the coach, I'm gonna say it, "that's pathetic"!

If we win and when we win - I stay consistent with my hatred for Brian Hill - you know that Junkie - I am consistent and even if we win a couple of games it doesn't mean I like Brian - he is the worst coach in the league - I used to think it was Doc Rivers then Brian the second worst, but I think Brian is the worst and I am referring to this season.

You don't measure a coach or player by a single game or two you need at least a month of play to see - and we can't measure our players until we get a coach that lets them play - it isn't fair to judge any of our players this year with them having to play under Brain dead Hill.

Think of it this way. The same 5 starters for the Magic allow a Piston lead. Saunders always begins to pull his starters with about 4 minutes left to play.

My guess is that when JJ comes in, that is if he actually does, Dwight will be worn out from the pounding he takes from Webber and Wallace and then Flip Murray will cover JJ like a blanket.

No way Hill plays JJ significantly during any stretch of the game. The only chance of that happening is if JJ comes in and start off on FIRE. I mean the type of fire where he puts up 2-3 3 point shots that drop each time down the floor. The type of fire that makes the other team call a quick timeout.

So being realistic, he will get the Trevor Ariza game 1 treatment at best. He might finish the first or second quarter with limited minutes then never see the floor in the second half.

Agreed - Hill is too stubborn - he will try to force feed Dwight in the same spot all night and ask Dwight to win going one on two or one on three - BHill is an idiot.

Junkie I agree things are too negative, but it all stems form Hill being hired. This has been going on since day one and will not stop as long as Hill is the coach.

Take a step back for a minute and ask yourself one big question. Look back on this season and its 40 wins. Now ask yourself what games pop out at you that you can say you enjoyed the win?

Most fans enjoy it when we win, but even when we went 13-4 a lot of fans were not happy at the lack of PT for Trevor and the fact Darko was not starting.

Having a season where we went 40-42 would be fine if that record was indicative of how our young players performed.

The reality there is a mountain of unacceptable things that happened this season for us to enjoy anything that came out of it. What are those thing you mat ask:

1)Dwight had less field goal attempts this season than he did last season.

2)Dwight and Darko never got a chance to develop together as starters. It hurts even worse after they had a huge ame in Chicago this season when Darko was starting while Battie was out.

3)We draft the most prolific score in NCAA history and he is used less than the waterboy.

4)We run a slow offense when we have a stable of Stallions.

5)Trevor never got a chance to start and develop.

6)Out of our 40 wins 90% of them were due to our veterans having those veteran moments and playing above their potential.

7)Travis ....too much to point out here. One word should speak enough of the problem. You could also substitute Auggie here too because he deserve PT over some of the players ahead of him.

8)PAT GARRITY...Give me any reason he should still be in a Magic uniform. they should have bought him out so he would not count against the cap this summer.

9)Tony, Hedo and Hill, should be the vets anchoring our bench. Hedo loves being the 6th man, Tony already said he was prepared to step aside for Darko and well, Grant is Grant. But Coach Hill insist on using these guys in roles that they will not play in the future for this Magic team.

10)Complete and total lack of development for our young core. We all saw how Trevor was playing with Dwight prior to his injury and he still never got a starting opportunity.

No need to go on, but as long as Hill is the Coach he will be roasted daily on here and in the media becasue that is how much Magic fans hate him. No other way to slice it.

Very well said - and I agree we could go on and on - the guy is such an idiot.

NO REAL MAGIC FAN "PULLS" FOR OUR TEAM TO LOSE.

Good comments - except - I really do hate Brian Hill - he should have fired himself. So, for one - I actually do hate him.

How high? Frankly with another coach I think we would be the third best in the conference and quite possibly heading for an Eastern conference finals what with Maimi floundering at the moment. So we ARE pretty high on our team and yes even with Bhill I am picking them to win tonight - against my head telling me otherwise.

Agreed - I think our players are much better than most on this board, but they are not being used correctly or allowed to play - BHill is making them one dimensional and ineffective.

I honestly think some of you guys hate Brian Hill so much that you pull for the team to lose. And I've seen numerous threads indicating such. That is pathetic and wrong. I'm not trying to get anybody to change their mind. Don't care how you feel cause it's "your perrogative". I'll state again the team is more important than any coach or player.

Right now instead of continually bashing Brian you should be trying to find something positive to say about our players since this our first playoff game in 4 years. I don't know about you guys but I don't want this team leaving town! There's a thread on the board right now about where our franchise may end up.

But if we win tonight don't come in here posting we won cause Brian Hill did what I've been saying he should be doing all along.

That is laughable. If your gonna keep crticizing then don't change, even when we win.

And yes Emory it does work both ways. If we lose there is always gonna be blame. It's just that you guys put everything on Brian and I don't. He is the main one responsible but as I've said before Phil Jackson would have a hard time getting these guys into the second round.

Junkie, I want the Magic to win, but if they lose and they lose big I won't be overly upset as I hope it will help with Brian Hill's dismissal.

The hard thing here is that I love this team and the players are much better than they are playing - I say the problem is Brian Hill - do we need to put up with another year of Brian Hill and risk losing Jameer - many think Jameer is not that good, but he will thrive under a different coach or with a team that has a good coach. And, if BHill stays here - Darko maybe gone. And you don't think that Ariza and Dwight might be walking as well. So, we get the number one pick again and wait another 10 years to get a good team again - but with the idiot coach, the idiot GM and the idiot owners they may leave town, because the fans will have had it. I came back and bought season tickets again this year after dropping them for the last few years and they did it to me again and they are threatening to do it again next year. They are driving this team into the ground. I had season tickets for more than 10 consecutive years and the years when Skiles played and we wouldn't win 50% of our games - but it was fun -the coach wasn't an idiot and the players were scrappy and played to their potential.

I want them to win, but I don't think they can go far this year - I do want them to win, but I think I want Brian Hill gone more because I see what will happen over the coming years if he stays.

We are just so tired of this teams mediocrity. It's been this way since the mid 90's, so yes we have earned the right to vent. Nothing changes. How can anyone be happy about our state of affairs. We have a coach who hasn't developed any of the young guys. Now when they play next year it'll be like if they were rookies, or better yet we let them go flourish elsewhere. Anyone can see that this starting 5 is awful and gets us into such a deep hole during the games that we can't get out of it. Anyone with half a brain would change it up. How can a team play like this all year and not have one single lineup change. Even Avery Johnson switched things up for the first game against the Warriors? It didn't work but at least he did it. Gawd i could go on and on.
