Live or Die Magic 383 Report post Posted February 11, 2009 On Tuesday, March 2nd, U2 will release their 12th studio album No Line On the Horizon here in the United States. In honor of this forthcoming event, I got to thinking about what my personal favorite U2 mix would be. Not sure how many U2 fans we have on the boards but I figure most folks have enough knowledge of their music that they should be able to complete a mix list. But there are RULES! Oh yes, there are always rules! Here they are: You must create a 14 song mix, no more, no less. You must choose at least one song from each of U2

Live or Die Magic 383 Report post Posted February 12, 2009 Great choices from DOM, Acres, and Kberto. I am especially interested to see the variety of choices from "Achtung Baby." That was a hard one for me. I went with "One" because it is so iconic. But I also really really like "The Fly." When that song came out I was all "***...this is U2." DOM, I agree with you on Rattle and Hum. U2 was at their self-indulgent best (or worst) on that record. "Joshua Tree" and "Unforgettable Fire" has a lot of variance as well. Still, the first singles are not always the best (re: "City of Blinding Light").
