jack daniel 999 Posted April 22, 2007 Author Report Posted April 22, 2007 Thanks K for the info... But ... Maybe you could do the stats for the playoffs and not the year.. would be greatly appreciated if you did this for all the games... JD GO MAGIC !!!!!!!!! Quote
ThisIsTheYear Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 Alright, new game. We've gotta come with a different mind set this time. We have to get Hedo more involved in this one, in my opinion. He's the X-factor. When he gets it going, the team gets it going as well. Pistons just have far too many mismatches though, which will reduce our fast break chances. Quote
Skywise316 Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 I think the Magic need to use their bench more liberally. Despite what those idiots in the national media say, Detroit's 2nd unit can't handle our 2nd unit at all. I hope someone points out to good ol' coach that 3 or 4 different players have good games every single night for this team. Brian Hill needs to use a normal rotation for 3 quarters to determine who's playing the best ball and then lean on the 5 hottest and freshest guys at each position down the last 6-8 minutes of the ball game. And of course... make your freggin' free throws. If they do that and keep rebounding like they did in game one, then it's a win for Orlando. P.S. START DARKO! Quote
ThisIsTheYear Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 Shouldn't this be a sticky by now? Quote

I wouldn't mind doing it for the playoffs, and yeah, I could do it every game. About the game, I think this could be a series changer for the magic. If they win this one I think they could get a huge confidence boost and win at least 1 more. Quote
Nike Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 I do think it's plausible we can steal this one from Detroit - it would be a lot better for us to head home tied 1-1 rather than a deflating 0-2. GO MAGIC!!! Quote
Scott430 Posted April 22, 2007 Report Posted April 22, 2007 Game 2 is going to be huge for both teams. i think the Magic feel like they really let one get away Saturday night and should be extremely motivated to try and steal Game 2 and bring this series home all tied up. I expect Detroit to come out with a lot of intensity too. I think they realize the Magic essentially gave them this game and I know that a team of this caliber is going to be anxious to come out and make a statement as well. With all that being said, I feel like we have a great chance to steal Game 2. I think anyone could see that there were ALOT of nervous players out there which I think attributed a great deal to the missed free throws and some of the turnovers. We have got to find a way to dominate the post. Dwight had 19 rebounds, a stat the probably went unnoticed to many because we lost the game. Darko has a very good game, especially since he was playing in essentially his first playoff game and against the team that gave up on him. Aside from cutting down on the obvious mental mistakes, we need to find a way to keep Rasheed Wallace down on the block. I feel like Dwight has enough strength to challenge most of his shots down low, but once he pops out near the three point line...that is where we get hurt. We also need to find a way to better defend Rip/Chauncey. I noticed Grant on Chauncey and Jameer on Rip to start the game. I am pretty sure Rip scored the first 6 points for the Pistons. In Game 2 I think we might be forced to use some lineups we are not use too. I would consider using Grant at the point and Ariza or Dooling at the two. Grant could handle Chauncy as he has the height and strength to counter him. Rip Hamilton makes a living running down the opposing defender so we need someone young and quick with a good wingspan to chase him and keep a hand in his face. If we make just these few minor adjustments I see no reason why we can't steal game 2. GO MAGIC! Quote
