Best case scenario for me would be Harris signing the qualifying offer (waiting one year for a bigger max) so we'd have one more year to think about his value. We'd sign KJ McDaniels this offseason and then if Harris proves not to be worthy of a max next year, we throw a bunch of money at Snell.

I agree, the more I think about it the more I don't want to spend too much money on a Small Forward, even being a big Tobias fan. I think the gap between guys like Middleton/Harris and guys like Tony Snell isn't too big (in a couple of years I think this guy will be really good and he'll be obtainable for half the price). Successful teams are doing well with similar players like DeMarre Caroll who work hard on defense and hit corner 3s. I think we should save the big bucks for positions where the supply is lower, like Power Forward or Shooting Guard.

I love Harris but there are so many exciting SFs out there, either in the draft or free agents in 2015 or 2016. Hezonja, Tony Snell, Danny Green, KJ McDaniels, etc.

Thibs has his best chance ever to make the finals so we'll see if they have the balls to fire him if that happens
