https://sportsnaut.com/chet-holmgren-tanked-orlando-magic-visit/ Should players be fined or something for admitting this? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we didn't draft him (7' 190 lbs sounds like a disaster waiting to happen), but it seems pretty unprofessional.

Plus people always retire to Florida right?

If they want a younger coach Terry Stotts doesn't qualify. He's four years older than Clifford.
-
We should get Hedo to coach. Ball!

LOL, what's going on here? -
I don't know, it's legal in so many states now.

It's the Knicks. I honestly haven't watched much NBA this season (including the Magic lately), but when I think of Knicks I think ineptitude, even more so than us. Probably the same way most people think, which is how these lines are set right? I'll probably watch today.

LOL, Matt Barnes. He's probably right, but Kyrie would probably just take indefinite personal leave with whatever team he is traded to like he did before the Harden trade. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thesportsrush.com/nba-news-im-trading-kyrie-irving-for-depth-instead-matt-barnes-explains-why-former-lebron-james-teammate-does-more-harm-than-good-for-kevin-durant-james-harden-and-the-nets/%3famp

Shaq is completely correct on this.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/30717575/kyrie-irving-fined-50000-rejoin-brooklyn-nets-saturday-five-day-quarantine They are letting the ******* play Saturday. That doesn't really seem like enough time.

Yeah, I agree. Most of this decisions regarding the roster of this team in the last several years have been terrible. Add to that our injury issues and you have the recipe for disaster.
-
His team just won a title and they have the best record in the league. I know, a lot of coaches could probably do the same with that roster, just saying.
-
A bit off topic, but this is kind of hilarious: https://thesportsrush.com/nba-news-kyrie-irving-wont-pick-up-my-calls-nets-coach-steve-nash-explains-why-star-point-guard-sat-out-tonights-game-against-sixers-for-personal-reasons/?amp What a guy!

I just started watching the game and Fultz went down. Googled his name while thinking please don't say ACL, but that's of course what came up. This is just awful for the kid especially with all the work he's put in to come back; what a bummer.

Interesting article about our shot selection. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/the-orlando-magic-are-defying-all-logic-and-reason-with-their-shot-selection/amp/

Would this change things? https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2020/11/magic-apply-for-dpe-to-replace-jonathan-isaac.html

I think I read every team plays every other team in the conference exactly three times and every team in the opposite conference exactly two times. We aren't playing them any more than any other Eastern Conference team. 14 x 3 = 42 Eastern games 15 × 2 = 30 Western games 72 total games
-
Wow, just thinking the league is about to start in about a month. It'll be interesting to see how it goes with such a short layoff. Well, for some teams; others haven't played since March. It might be a weird season.
-
Awesome, helping the teams most that don't need it. Just like the stimulus helping out the ones that don't need it the most (corporations) and giving working people peanuts.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/30338853/nba-regular-season-schedule-2020-21-released-2-stages-play-tournament-18-21 I'm not sure how I feel about the play-in. It made sense last season, but this season? It also doesn't mention if the 9-10 seeds have to be within a certain number of games of the 7-8 seed. If I'm reading this correctly you could be the 7 seed, lose to the 8 seed one game, then to the 10 seed the next and miss the playoffs and the 10 seed makes it. I honestly think they are asking for trouble by doing this. It sounds like the regular season won't be as important. Even less reason for the casual fan to watch the regular season. Smart thing to do with the ratings being lower than they have been in years.

It feels like John Wall hasn't played a game in 5 years. I almost forgot he existed.

Anyone played NBA Playgrounds 2? It's on Playstation Now (like Netflix for games) and I'm having trouble pulling dunks off. They say to hold turbo and hit square when running at the basket, but it's not working very well for me (I'm holding square until it gets into that green part of the meter like it says).

So is Chuma healthy or does he still need more time?
