  1. We should have lost this one in regulation. The OT loss just makes it sting a little more
  2. I agree with you and Jameer. Never mind, you and Jameer are stupid :)
  3. Pathetic effort tonight...regardless of outcome. Why does it take 47 minutes to dig in and start playing ball?
  4. THIS TEAM BLOWS!!!!!!!! Get Duhon, Q and Fat Ass Baby off the court!
  5. That trade was made before the new CBA and amnesty clause went into effect this summer..technically Fall I guess

    And the TO's begin...down 1
  7. I think you're pushing it on the thread starting front...even I know better. Having said that, I'd much prefer we make a play for JR Smith. Guys a bit of a head case but he's a straight up baller. Pretty sure he goes back a ways with Dwight also which never hurts.

    Otis go after Kenyon Martin

I guess my point is he should never play center and even if he did at one time, which he didn't, it doesn't mean he should now. I'd rather have a true backup center than Baby or Martiin, but I like Earl better than either.
  9. Obviously I meant when he's being asked specifically about playing in a particular city, or with a particular player, he should probably take the high road. The series of questions you listed aren't the kind that have been causing him to put his foot in his mouth. For example, if he's asked what he thinks of the weather he should feel free to answer...as long as he doesn't say he likes said weather better than Orlando's weather. :)
  10. He could simply say I'm focused on being the best player and teammate I can be for the Orlando Magic and I'm not going to discuss my future at this time...end of story. Nothing awkward about that

    Otis go after Kenyon Martin

He didn't play center for NJ, but even if he did for stretches, that would not make him a center...it would just make him a PF playing out of position. Kinda like when Glen Davis plays back-up center for us
  12. I would disagree with the just plain stupid part but other than that you might be right. Alot will depend on his health. Regardless, if he receives on offer in that range you simply determine whether he's a guy you want to commit that kind of dough to. I'd vote no, but who the f*** knows. Assuming Otis goes with Dwight, there's at least a chance we'd make the right decision. Probably not though

I agree, maybe we work a sign and trade to get some picks or young talent back for him though. No reason to just let him walk
  14. You're making it sound like we have to match, which we don't. Besides like CNB said, who the hell is going to offer him $15m per? The trade with Jersey sheds contracts to give us some cap flexibility and allows us to aquire additional drafts picks to rebuild. Any thought of building around Lopez, even on a good contract, is a bad idea...he's terrible.

Anderson is turning out to be a sold player, but the only thing he and Kevin Love have in common is skin color. Love is an inside post-up offensive threat with the ability to shoot the ball. Ryan is more of a finesse player and spot up shooter. Love is a great rebounder, Ryan is a good offensive rebounder. Their games really couldn't be any more different. They're both white, thats about it.

    Otis go after Kenyon Martin

I don't think thats the case, he's 6'8" and has always been kind of a tweener 3/4. That said I really think Earl Clark could play center in the near future. He reminds me a little of a young Ben Wallace. Center may be a stretch, but anyone remember how Wallace started coming into his own that last year before we traded him to Detroit for G. Hill? I've seen flashes of that from Earl. If he killed the gym I honestly think he could be a force down low
  17. That too. We're champs at finding stretch fours though

    Otis go after Kenyon Martin

    K. Martin pretty much addresses none of our issues. Hooray!
  19. His ego won't allow that. As much as he'd like to be, I honestly think deep down Dwight knows he's not capable of being the go to guy...which imo plays into the situation we have on our hands now. He knows he needs another guy to seal the deal or at least share the responsibility...its a lot easier to say we couldn't get it done than I couldn't get it done. I don't completely blame him. Lets be honest, Otis had seven years to find a closer and hasn't even come close. Considering every wing player in the league probably dreams of playing with Dwight, its astonishing that this never happened.
  20. Agreed. Too bad Dwight doesn't just embrace being the best defender on the planet and let that be his legacy. I personally think he's going to miss out on rings trying to be something he's just not, whether its here or somewhere else. Of course if its somewhere else, who gives a damn

Otis Smith..."Its all about accountability Larry. You make a mistake and cost this franchise.....er, nevermind. You're cut cuz I said so"
  22. I've always thought Dwight was more comparable to Alonzo Mourning than Shaq in terms of physique and stature. They're both natural defenders and rebounders although Dwight is much more gifted athletically than Alonzo. Difference between Dwight and Mourning is Alonzo actually took pride in doing what he did. Dwight wants to be a scorer, and believes he's more capable than he actually is. I'm new to the board, but no new threads I promise :)
