Augustin and Vucevic for Drummond and Rose Both sides take some risk and get some return. Magic has the chance to clear the books if Drummond doesn’t sign and Rose can come off the bench and groom Fultz or play SG. Pistons move Drummond and get a former all-star, stretch 20/10 center and give up Rose to get it done who is injury prone anyway/time to maximize his value while the window is open

John Collins breaking out in Atlanta—he would be great next to Isaac. We should give the Hawks Gordon and whatever it takes to land him.

That’s the problem with you guys. We are not going to win anything with this flawed team or the suggestions that have been made so far that result in marginal improvement at best. We are not going to strike gold with weak players like Gordon and Forunier. John Collins brings defense, scoring and is young—he basically out scored Gordon and Fournier combined tonight. He will be a better version of Pascal Siakam. Parsons and Teague have expiring contracts—we can clear the books and have some financial flexibility and draft or trade for a SG. Parsons will probably not play again either given his tragic injury. issac+Collins+Vucevic+clutch Sg+ Fultz > anything the Knicks hands down

Fournier + Gordon for John Collins and any bad contract the Hawks have (Parsons, Teague, Hunter). They get two quality pieces, they can fill their holes in the draft. We get rid of these clowns and get Collins and can work on drafting. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine

I thought he was a restricted free agent.

And we also know who Augustin is—not the long-term solution. I just don’t recall a near 15-5-5 guy being traded for second round picks. He could have been used to sweeten any other potential trades we could have been explored. The point I am making is that getting nothing in return could have waited until the offseason when teams are more willing to trade.

    Knicks vs Magic Thursday, February 22 @ 7:00 P.M.

Spot on. Vogel’s decisions are mind boggling. He needs to go. I want SVG back. Gordon also needs to develop some more b-ball IQ. He has lots of potential but seems to be messing up simple plays...on the other hand Mario is just crushing it. Vuc looks good when his shot is falling but needs to do more on the defensive end..his rebounding is abysmal.

Payton wasn’t going to be our long-term point guard but this is still a bone headed move by mgmt. If we wanted to trade him we should have just increased his minutes and inflated his stats and got a better return. We have all seen that he can be a triple double threat consistently towards the end of the last season. Now he looks like a steal for the Suns. What did we get in return—second round picks that mean nothing!

    Hornets @ Magic 2NIGHT

Yes, it was a dumb move in hindsight but Mario had not shown an ability to consistently deliver offensively and defensively every night. His camp wants him to get more playing time which he is getting plenty off now. So I would not be surprised if he stays albeit on a more expensive contract. I am more interested in seeing what happens to his production when Gordon and Vuc are back.

    Ersan İlyasova to Magic??????

How would you guys perceive a Stepen Jackson/illyasova trade for Turk/Clark/picks or cash? Bad deal? I see Ilyasova as a younger Turk that the Bucks risk losing for nothing in the offseason and Jackson as a defensive upgrade that Bucks want to get rid off given his clashes with Skiles. Problem is his attitude but seems like Dwight has wanted him here

Optimizing the rotation and evaluating what we need

Looking at today's game I frankly am shocked by SVG's lack of creativity or willingness to try something different when the chips are down. The rotation was really weird. I think Duhon should be benched for the season, Hughes has better vision, size and can contribute something offensively. On ball movement I think Jameer did an ok job but I think the insertion of Reddick into the starting line up should be tried--whenever he is on the court his general liveliness and good basketball IQ always seem to improve the team chemistry. He also seems to perform whenever he asked to start. More importantly in the last year or so he has shown a willingness to drive the ball and attack the rim when his shot isn't falling. This raises the question of what to do with J-Rich. I think he should be moved to SF, he has more quickness than Turkogulu, same three point potency, only thing he gives up is height but the way Turk is playing these days I think he is better off in the second unit or some kind of super sub role. Dwight had a bad offensive game, looks like he is never going to improve that Freethrow but defensively he was there tonight. Welcome any thoughts.
  14. Hi all..been a couple of years since I posted..used to be brownmagic for anyone that remembers As the season starts, we all know that SVG is going to lock into a rigid rotation soon. The way I see it PG: Mighty Mouse, Hughes SG: J-Rich, Reddick, Q-rich SF: Turk-a-Flu, ??? PF: Big Baby, Ryan Anderson, Earl Clark C: Superman, Big Baby Unlike a lot of people, I actually think this team is playoff bound but definitely needs some tweaks. I think we missed the boat on Chauncey Billups since he could have been had for cheap regardless of the warnings he gave people trying to claim him off waivers and would have fit amazingly well in our system. But Kudos to the Clippers' management there--some great maneuvering this off-season. For me championship teams are really built around defense and we have really screwed that up in the past few years letting guys like C Lee, Pietrus, Stevenson, Barnes get away. We all know offense really isn't our problem, it has always been defense and this has pissed D-12 off a lot in the past. Looking at this team I think a defensive line up could feature "Hughes", Q-rich, Earl Clark, Howard---the one problem here is Turk-a-flu and I think this is one hole we need to plug right away for short and long run--I don't know what everybody thinks but I think we need a defensive SF---Pietrus just got waived and I think he fits the bill perfectly cost wise and knows our system well and we all know he relished being the go-to defensive guy on the team. The only question here is his health. Welcome any thoughts and Happy Holidays!
