Oh I didn’t mean to offend anyone. It’s just consistent with Cole. He’s divisive on this board. He plays poorly he’s the first one to get called out, but he never gets credit when he plays well. He’s a spark plug, and when he’s playing like he was last night, you bet your behind I want him playing the whole 4th quarter over Markelle Fultz who won’t look at the basket if he’s further than 10 feet out. I just feel like Cole is a scapegoat, when most nights we have much bigger problems. Our biggest issues in the rotation right now are Joe Ingles and Markelle Fultz, Wendell Carter gets a consolation prize here as well.

Gary is off the injury report for tomorrow. First game of a back to back, so I’d expect him, Kelle and JI all to play against the Clippers and sit against the Grizzlies. The Sugg/Harris/Franz/Paolo/WCJ starting 5 I believe is still undefeated.
-
Yeah, the Cole hate is wild. Without him, we lose by 20+ last night.
-
The last 4 losses put a spotlight on just how thin our backcourt is. Harris out the last 2 and Suggs out the 2 losses to New York and Indy. It’s why most of us were so upset for sitting stagnant at the trade deadline. Markelle was horrible again last night but people are afraid to say it because he’s an awesome dude and we all feel bad for him. Behind that AB is too raw, and Cole and Suggs are way too inconsistent. I still can’t believe a pro basketball team had a quarter where they shot 3-22 from the field… insane
-
Down 1 with a minute left and we get a shot clock violation due to indecisiveness. Just can’t happen
-
We missed 10 free throws on 21 attempts. We lost by 8 points. Smh And not only that, it was a one-possession game in crunch time. If we could at least shoot league average from the line we’d have won this game
-
We deserved to lose this one. That first quarter was some of the worst professional basketball I’ve ever seen from an offense. Free throw shooting is a major problem and it’s somehow getting worse. Draymond getting tossed probably hurt us more than it hurt Golden State. The starters were all bad. Again. Franz needs to stop disappearing against good teams. Cole was excellent. We missed an opportunity here… Steph was bad and GSW was on the 2nd night of a back to back while we were on extended rest. Just inexcusable to come out that flat. Im more annoyed by this game than anything… oh well, on to the next one

Markelle getting the start with Suggs, Franz, Paolo and WCJ. Harris out, and can’t find confirmation but I think Houstan is too

I believe our Magic number to clinch at least the 6 seed and avoid the play-in is 8. That’s a combination of Magic wins and Heat and Sixers losses. So, if we go 8-3 the rest of the way, even if the Heat and Sixers win out (which they won’t) we’re in the real tournament and don’t have to “earn” our spot. If we go 2-9 like TMF fears, we’re 100% gonna have to deal with the play-in
-
I’m gonna go with 7-4 the rest of the way with 6-5 more likely than 8-3. Lose one of the next two, in Houston and in New Orleans, and one of the last 3. CT you bring up a great point about hoping Milwaukee has clinched the 2 before those games, would be nice!

3 full days off between games this time of year is brutal. Hope the Heat/Warriors game goes into triple OT tonight
-
Sixers and Heat win, Cavs lose. 4 games separating the 3 and 8 seed. Strap in, this season is gonna end crazy
-
Yeah I don’t know what to make of WCJ in the context of the future or this team. His low games are unplayable, like we saw last night.
-
I’m sorry y’all, but the refs gifted this game to Sacramento. #74 was making horrible biased calls and non-calls all night in the Kings favor and that “foul” on Jalen that gave Fox go ahead free throws with 20 seconds left in a tight game is just inexcusable to call in that situation. JI was incredible tonight, pretty much all the starters were bad. We owe the Kings a few close ones now. And Malik Monk did a hell of a job with whatever the opposite of an audition is tonight.
-
Cavs and Heat both lose. We’re one game out of the 3 seed! 4 game lead over the Heat in the division
-
He’s only 25 years old. I’d honestly rather see him get paid and contribute to a team that can utilize him more than we can than settle for a vet minimum deal to ride the pine behind Anthony Black. I love Kelle and at this point I just want to see him make the most of his career with the limitations his body has put on him. He can’t maximize that skillset here with the roster we’ve assembled. I think there’s decent evidence out there that AB is already better for the team than Kelle is
-
Markelle is great for the locker room, and chemistry. He’s also a great calming influence for such a young team. What it comes down to is his strengths are redundant with players that are better than him. He’s gonna sign with someone like San Antonio that can surround him in a lineup with 5 shooters and he’ll have a career as an oft injured backup. I fully expect him gone this off-season. He just doesn’t fit anymore, we need guards that can shoot.
-
Yeah, Jalen isn’t goin anywhere but he is gonna be more expensive than we thought a year ago, which is a good thing. That’s why this off-season is our last chance to be aggressive. Sign or trade for someone using existing cap and then extend Jalen and Franz using the different exceptions that let us go over the salary cap. Just need to keep an eye on being a luxury tax team, but I honestly don’t even know what that number is anymore.
-
What an amazing win. There’s something to be said about what confidence and getting hot at the right time can do for a young team. Jalen Suggs is modern day Darrell Armstrong, except he doesn’t have to play on a rebuilding team like DA did. Quickly becoming an all-time Magic favorite. Paolo and Franz… what can ya say.. just excited for the future of this team! Also, I left tonight extremely unimpressed with Zion. He has no bag, he’s just a big physical guy that can’t shoot and can’t control his body. Wound up with 5 fouls but probably should’ve had about 11. His flexing and smack talking on the finish when he clearly went up with an elbow through JI’s face that didn’t get called was a huge turnoff. I admittedly haven’t watched much Pelicans this year, but the talking heads have been hyping the Zion train lately and I certainly didn’t see it tonight.

Ugh. They scare me more than they should, and they’d abuse us physically for an entire series. So would New York. Not saying we couldn’t overcome it, but it has been the kind of thing we’ve struggled with this season. I’d love a first round matchup with the Pacers or the Cavs and if Embiid is still out, Philly would be my favorite of the potential matchups. Really we just need to avoid Boston, and probably Milwaukee too, I think we could beat anyone else in a series in the East.
-
Heat and Pacers won, which isn’t ideal, but also the Cavs and Bucks lost. So allow me to dream for a second. We’re only 2 games out of the 3 seed and 3 games back of the 2 seed. We play Milwaukee 2 more times
-
He’s been incredible. Easy to blame the recent losses to the Knicks and Pacers on Suggs not being able to go. Just hope he can stay healthy! He and JI together on the court is the dream
-
Would love to at least split the next 4, would be disappointed with less and quite pleased with more. We’re playing teams at home that the Knicks have beat on the road. With the Bulls and Rockets surging, we only really have 3 gimme games left on the schedule, Portland and Memphis at home and Charlotte on the road. Worth noting the Memphis game is on the 2nd night of a back to back and they already beat us once. We’ve done an excellent job winning the games we’re supposed to and putting ourselves in this position, now we just need to finish strong. We go 9-4 in our last 13 and that’s a 50 win season!
-
What a beat down. Win 41 in the books! Go Magic!
-
None of our direct competition playing tonight, so we just need to take care of business and gain a .5 game on everyone. We win tonight and we clinch at worst a play-in berth. Really happy with this season
