My new dream is that the Mavs bomb once again and Luka demands out and says he’ll only play for Coach Mosley. Then we trade em all of our picks and some salary filler and run a Luka/Suggs/Franz/Paolo/WGAF core… it won’t happen, and I don’t even know if it’d work, but holy talent.
-
Yeah, and insult to injury, 2 of the easier guys we could’ve traded for to bolster our backcourt offense both went for 40+ last night, DLo and Dejounte.

22-6 against teams below .500, meaning we’re 15-21 against teams above .500. There are easy excuses to pull from for tonight, 3rd game in 4 nights while the Knicks were on 2 days rest at home, last road game before a long homestand, no Jalen… but I’m having a hard time shaking the last 3 games I’ve really gotten excited for to see how this team looks in a playoff atmosphere, New York, OKC and Miami, we’ve gotten blown out in all 3 in embarrassing fashion. It’s great that we’re getting this exposure to playoff intensity now, but we need to start adjusting to it and stop chasing the whistle. And we absolutely cannot give up free possessions to the other team by whining about calls. Our late season schedule is going to put us into position to really make this a special season, I just don’t want to see it be a memorable regular season and a wet fart of a playoff run. Also, there’s gotta be someone better than Ingles to put in the rotation right now. He’s on his last legs of his career, and most nights lately you can see his giveadam is fully busted.
-
At least the Heat and Sixers lost again too. And JI looked bouncier tonight than he has in years. But yeah, this teams offensive floor is super low.
-
I will say this team has some toughening up to do before playoff time. Knicks just outphysicaled us until we mentally gave up tonight.
-
Hey y’all, I’m gonna hide the last few pages of posts with magictime and he’s in timeout. The shtick is old. Sucks to get dogwalked, but we had a game like this coming. On to the next one.
-
I think AB is the right move, think his length will bother Brunson
-
AB starting in Suggs spot, rest of the starting lineup same as we’re used to. Brunson officially in for NY.
-
I don’t think we do. I think AB should start with Gary in the backcourt and keep Kelle coming off the bench.
-
Not official yet, but all signs pointing to Brunson playing tonight
-
No Suggs tonight, right thigh contusion. Wendell is available to play.
-
Yeah, and 13-6 in our last 19 is definitely realistic.
-
A couple schedule notes, even though the competition does start to get tougher, after tonight we only have 6 road games left on the season, compared to 12 at home. Also after tonight, 10 of our next 11 games are at home. We only have one more back to back. We’re set up to make a nice run to end the year, and home court in the first round would be incredible if we can pull it off.
-
Yeah, with the way the schedule is shaking out right now and the injuries that Miami, Philly, New York and Cleveland are dealing with, we really have a chance to put ourselves in a good spot for a non-play-in spot. Winning the next 2 vs NY and Indy would be huge
-
Sixers drop a home game to the Grizzlies.
-
Oh yeah, I should clarify, I meant the all bench lineup was bad. Moe and Cole won us the game in the 4th playing with Suggs, Paolo and Franz,
-
No such thing as a bad win. Hopefully we learn from that first half, if we start like that in New York or vs Indiana, we’re in trouble. Really impressive defense in the 2nd half by the starters. The bench was real bad tonight, but we survived
-
Good job slowing the pace and trimming into the lead. This is gonna be harder than it should be, but we still have a chance to steal one
-
This is pathetic and it shows you just how low our floor is. We’ve been turning the ball over like crazy for the past like 2 weeks, was just a matter of time til it led to an embarrassing performance. Especially when you’re so comfortable holding out 1/3 of our rotation including 2 starters for “injury maintenance”
-
I’m mad cause anybody half paying attention saw this coming. There’s no such thing as a schedule win in the NBA. Absolutely pathetic first quarter.
-
Ugh… come on guys
-
Knicks lose, Sixers lose. Magic are officially the 4 seed. Wow, 4-8 is a logjam
-
Crisis averted, they actually overturned the call. Impressive comeback win by Cleveland
-
Only freakin Boston and LA get bailed out like that by the refs. What a horrible call and it’s gonna decide the game. Better get overturned
-
Huge response to end the quarter. Come out strong in the 4th and put this away. The team deserves credit for keeping its poise. Charlotte is full of irritants
