As a medical professional this is actually one of the more common ways to fracture a toe.  It’s also known as a bedroom fracture.  It takes around 6 weeks to heal typically.

I could be completely wrong but didn't he also not realise it was fractured until training camp? Wouldn't that also set him back if he needed to have a small procedure if he was letting it heal while it was broken unevenly?

I also follow Portland cause I’m following Sharpe progress …but I can tell you there are many posts like the one above where they are itching to get Mo Bamba …for those of you that want him traded …Blazers off to a 3-0 start

meanwhile i'd be way more satisfied with what nurkic brought against lal... mo wont rebound if he's not getting buckets

  3. Ok, I'm game:

Best offensive player will be? Banchero, and if he is not, we are back at the drawing board.

Best defensive player will be? Splashiest might be Suggs and I'd love it if he got attention and recognition for it, but effectiveness-wise, I fully expect Carter to anchor our operation on that end. I'd hope that they can be exceptional within the next couple of years. Doubt either of them are ever DPOY candidates but this should be the answer regardless. We all know it'll be JI if he has any sliver of a chance at being in the NBA in 10 years.

Team MVP will be? Not sure if this is in terms of play or culture, but if it's culture, I think Cole and Franz are the glue. Terms of play, Banchero is already the leader.

Record will be? I'm going to throw caution to the wind for the first time in a dozen years and say 31-51

This game no. Memphis yes. They was trying to win. But in all honesty nothing matters till we open away at the Pistons

Agreed, the take aways being that we have a squad full of guys who don't quit, which is what we always saw when they used to lose a late lead in the previous incarnation. Fall behind by a couple, lost confidence, boom 10 point loss.

This might mean more RJ. Oh my goodness, that’s painful by itself.

As much as this is all justified, at least with Kelle, Cole and Jalen around there is no reason for him to take ball handling duties. And I don't think they'd stand for the rubbish he pulled in SL

He's only a camp body. But he's possibly a punt on untapped upside to be fair he's a former 5 star recruit who's still only 22 and has played in the G league and overseas. Could be an attempt at a Khem Birch style pickup. I imagine they'll get a good look at him in camp, send him to Lakeland for the season and then re-evaluate whether they want to keep him around next summer.

Yeah the rationale is all fine, I am just honestly confused that the name hasn't run past me at all before. Or I've completely blanked it. 5 Star you say..

Come on man. Mitchell >>>>>>>>>Arenas. DM is 25 wasn’t Gilbert like on his last legs when we got him. And I’m sick and tired of waiting for young players to wake up and realize they are Jordan. Not gonna happen, cut bait pick and keep the best u got. Add an all star to the pieces you have and you are a contender.

Not sure he meant Arenas when we got him... just Arenas in his prime. A volume scorer with low IQ who put himself before the team.

I'm pretty sure Mitchell is mentally better than Arenas (most people are), but in the sense that they aren't going to win you much on their own, it's sort of fair.

As he currently exists, I like Anthony in that change of pace uber aggressive scorer coming off the bench.  If he learns how to consistently involve others in the offense, then there is reason to consider playing him with the starters.  I expect Suggs to be the most improved player on the Magic next year.  That said, if we aren't in tank mode, the starter at SG should be Harris until Suggs takes it away.  I want Okeke/Hampton/Bol as the main back-ups to Franz.  Ross has been great but he needs a new venue.  I expect Bol to get abused defensively, but he will either get better or follow Ross out the door.  We need to know sooner than later if he has a future.

That four man big rotation is pretty good.  Assuming he can stay on the floor, I'd really like to see how Paolo and Isaac can play together.  That seems like a matchup nightmare for other teams.  Most fours can't handle them.  A traditional 5 doesn't stand a chance.  Do you try to put a 3 on them?

I really really hope Suggs picks it up this year

Can I just say I wish we had the Moldy Hobo this offseason? That individual is still a legend for that account a few summers back.

A few summers? I swear I remember that when I started lurking and watching what you guys would write and discuss in like 2009/10 ish lol

    Everyone's getting old, Trey lol

Oh, I know it’s not, and I know it’s ridiculous and it means nothing and we have the rookies right for essentially 8 years and so on. It just woke up the 9 year old kid in me a bit that’s first heartbreak was Shaquille O’Neal

Hey that was my first sports heartbreak too lol. Nothing else has been as devastating. I was already numb by the time Beckham left Manchester United for Real Madrid

I actually think that Boston has already had a couple of average games - at least partly due to Miami's defense. As good as Boston's defense is though, I'm not sure they will be able to shut down the GS offense. I think we will see. I have to say, that Robert Williams fingertip block completely stretched out, coming from inside the paint to block all the way out at the 3-point line was just crazy. When you see it slo-mo, the full extension is just incredible.

Have to agree, obviously i'd feel safer taking this final hurrah for the Warriors but I guess they could power through a whole series.

Nahhh - I think Boston wins this East series, but Warriors have been here before and they are filled with offensive juggernauts. If any one or two of them go off, the game is over. Curry/Klay/Poole/Wiggins are all able to get 20 with relative ease.

I’m putting my money on the Warriors.

If I had money, that'd be where it would go too lol. Doesn't look like Miami is healthy enough or together enough to come back from it, but Boston is due for a couple of average games

I wanna bring in some LeBron /Zion/Giannis type hard chargers to run over Chet a few times and see how durable he is before even considering drafting him.

Maybe that could become a standard feature of the revamped draft combine

Want to accelerate and settle our rebuild? Sign Brunson this summer. He can play both guards positions, shoot the rock, defend, is heading into his prime, and is a proven leader. We’ve not had a reliable guard like Brunson for years, and I’d love this kind of move. It would mean moving on from at least one of our guards, but I’d be fine with that.

This would make me so happy. It's not gonna happen but wouldn't it be wonderful? let's say we get one of the big men at the top of the draft. We could renounce the rights of Bamba and make an offer. Even better if the Mavs realize they are going to lose Brunson and maybe sign and trade him for Bamba and Ross. They need a center and having Ross for one year gives them more size at guard and another 3 point threat around Luka. Yeah Brunson was great for them this year, but with Luka and Dinwiddie they can lose another ballhandler and be ok. We still have problems with almost no ballhandlers when Fultz is hurt or off the floor. Suggs and Cole are combo guards, going to be more shooting guards if they are succesfull going forward.

I admit I am utterly ignorant but aside from being alright when I've seen him fill in for Luka - how can we indicate that his ceiling is that high and it's not somewhat of a product of him not being specifically scouted for as that 1 / 2 option?

Having said that - if we could get him for Bamba and Ross I wouldn't be opposed personally. Nothing like a change up
