DeAndre Liggins

The Magic then selected University of Kentucky shooting guard DeAndre Liggins with the 53rd overall selection in the draft. The 6-foot-6, 2020-pounder gives the Magic some insurance at the shooting guard position with Jason Richardson becoming an unrestricted free agent and J.J. Redick recovering from abdominal surgery. This guy hides his weight pretty good

"I don't think our Coach used Arenas the right way"

Is it me or is it interesting on having to waiting for a player to "get better" who came into the Nba in 2001 and signed a $100 plus million dollar. Why not be better already?

2011 Playoffs

My Random thoughts.. I'm a fan of the game however not a fan of unfair non- balanced teams and teams who "buy" championships. That on top of a commissioner who daily finds ways to ruin the game. There are more deserving players and teams I feel than this newly formed Miami Heat team to win the ring in the first year of creation. Not saying that their talent shouldn't take them to a ring but for it to happen in the first year is a little to the point of seeming like it was handed to them by the commissioner and the refs because of the names on the team. Those are my feelings and I voice them out loud but deep inside I cheer for Miami as it's a FL team and I would like to see the championship trophy brought to the sunshine state. I am a fan of the Magic as they are a local team, ring or not. I look forward to the Magic forming a team that can compete with the Miami Heat as In-State rivalries are the most fun to watch! The Heat owe their 2-1 lead over Dallas to Wade. He has carried that team to their wins and has been more consistent than the other two of the "Big 3". Again just my thoughts. Has anyone heard more on Dwight signing or not...I know news channel here in town broke the story that he signed the extension but then Dwight came out and said no he didn't...

Rumor from Bulls board (about future Magic trades)

"[i was] at my house, came around the corner, fell over a bag, put my arm down to kind of brace myself," Boozer said. "I'll get surgery on Tuesday and do my rehab, be conditioned and run with the guys. The good thing about it was at least it only happened in the preseason. "It's tough. Obviously, I'm disappointed. I feel bad about it, but we got guys who can play, man. Guys will be able to step up and play. We've been practicing hard, getting ready for the preseason right now. I'm going to be there supporting them, I'll be their biggest cheerleader and sideline coach. And I'll be busting my butt trying to get back and healthy and attacking my rehab trying to get right." I like Boozer's game but do we want a guy who trips over a bag in his house, breaks his hand and is willing to be a cheerleader? lol

I love Jon Stewart

Not everyone finds Jon Stewart's comedy style to be funny and that's fine as we all have opinions. But I think he is Hilarious! Watch if you would like him go off on Donald Trump disgracing the New York Pizza by eating it with a fork My link
11. Thank you and Point well made! I appreciate the timely reply! I can see multiple new irrelevant topics to the majority being started to be annoying. However to that member it's how they feel and it's their opinion. Ultimately numerous new topics do I guess take up space. After witnessing multiple occasions of members being put down for expressing their feelings on a certain issue already posted or that of their own (possibly not the most intelligent posts) I began feeling a little discouraged to put up my thoughts. Thanks again!
12. Hello all. Being a new guy to post on the forum I see a lot of hate towards new comers and an unwritten rule from a seniority heirarchy that prohibits the new members from posting a comment or starting a new topic. Now I would first like to say that multiple ridiculous new topics started by the same person or multiple members, I see can get a little annoying, however since there is not an area for New members only to post new topics (maybe a suggestion for the site) where are we allowed to start topics? That only leaves the areas where every member on this site has the ability to post and read other members posts. Is there not the option of skipping over a post you feel to be of non interest to you? Or do the multiple "stupid" topics move the "intelligent" topics to page 2 or 3 and off the main page and you are then required to search for them? When it comes to sports and the fans of that sport, everyone has their reasons for watching that sport. *Some watch for social reasons to hang out with friends and/or even drinking games..example every free throw made equals a shot or something like that. *Some watch because they used to play or coach and their knowledge of the game is endless *Some watch for betting purposes and know the free throw percentage of every player, know how they play when they are in the high mountains of denver and when they play here in Orlando. They have spreadsheets created with all this data and it's someone you do not want to get in an argument with as they will shut you down with statistics. There are other reasons why people watch the sport but I figured I would narrow it down to just 3. Basically this site has a mixture of all of these. With that being said not everyone's knowledge of the game is on the same level. Some people want to come on here just to express an opinion or thought and are immediately shut down by a member of the seniority class on this forum, and it's obvious that there are "clicks" here as well. Now again not everyone's level of Intelligence is matched with other members on this forum, however they sign up just to get in the conversation. None the less we are all fans of the Orlando Magic, and some of us like myself are locals here in town who have lived here for years and remember the days of Donald Royal, Nick Anderson, Penny, Shaq, Joe Wolf, etc. Now I have been a member for a short time however came to this site before I had an account to read some posts, so my observation has not started when my account was created. Also nobody has directly said anything towards me but I ask you where is it allowed on this forum for a new comer with a thought or opinion to voice it? Also what is the point where you are allowed to start new topics? Is there a time period or number of "Intelligent" posts earn you points and you are then voted in by the high counsel and granted the ability to start new topics and freely post? Sincerely, A new comer looking to join the conversations
13. I heard on Real Radio 104.1 here in Orlando earlier this morning that it was official he signed the extension. The guy that announced it knows Otis, not sure if that is how he found out. The 2 year extension is good for management to have time to build something and him to look good if he does leave as he did all the right things. I personally am looking forward to next season and watching all the moves over the summer with the Magic.

DWIGHTS MEMORIAL DAY COOK OUT

I heard he said that he never once thought of leaving. The park is actually right down the street from my house but I couldn't make it out there. From my following of him on twitter and the video that was posted it didn't look like a huge turn out as someone said. None the less it was awesome for him to do that!

Dwight Has His Contract Extension On The Table!

New to the forum! Hello all! I felt like if Dwight were to leave it would be to a big city like LA, NY, or even back home to ATL. As of late the way LA has been playing I feel ok taking them off the list. Having lived in Orlando for close to 20 years and been a fan since, I'm mixed on my feelings on if he should stay or leave. He works hard and deserves a ring! With these huge contracts for players who do not produce and show up every night the Magic have dug themselves in a hole, one I feel we could get out of with the Right GM (not Otis). I do not see Otis making any good decisions over the summer to bring in any talent that will do any damage. Otis to me has turned the Magic into the NY Knicks back in the day. The only thing I could see is clearing up cap by some trades(reddick, jameer..) and bring in a few guys at minimum contracts and go after a Paul or Williams and a good PF. I say stay for the reason of you do not see many players these days who stick to one team as you did in the days of Jordan, Malone, Bird...Dwight knows all eyes are on him and his decision on whether he stays or not and he will, I know, be more classy if he were to leave than the guy who "took his "talents" down south. If MIA continues to play as they have and win the championship this year...I feel the chances of Dwight leaving increase as the Heat will only get better with a little fine tuning while teams like Orlando will be in a rebuilding stage. Just my thoughts
