  1. Never seen a team score so easily. No resistance at all.
  2. Didn't see the game live, just watched it yesterday afternoon. This thread would've had me believe Evan missed like a breakaway uncontested layup. Turns out he was contested by two people and as we learned later, fouled. And Evan sure as hell is not the dude you want trying to thread a pass to AG between three defenders, so that wasn't an option like some would have preferred. Should he have made the shot? Probably. Was it easy? No.

If someone would have told me immediately after the Dwight trade in 2012 that Vooch would ultimately be signed here through 2023, I would have probably cried tears of joy under the assumption that he somehow became Dirk. Instead we've never been better than 22nd in offense and I have dedicated approx 1/3 of my Magic fanhood to the Vooch era. Sad times.
  4. I expected us to get to 7th seed eventually. Did not realize it’d be 4 games post All-Star
  5. My god that Ross dunk was mean lol
  6. Great energy to end the quarter by Mo
  7. James Johnson asking Cliff why he’s being guarded by a center. Great question
  8. PnR defense is a joke as usual
  9. I’m on the DLo and Fultz wouldn’t work train (not that it matters anymore), but that might be wrong strictly due to how Russell shoots at Amway recently. With the Nets he had a game where he made like 5 threes in the first 5 minutes or something like that
  10. Not the guy to mess with haha
  11. Not to mention his inability to effectively execute an end of quarter play this season
  12. DJs inability to throw a lob to Bamba on plays where he’s rolling wide open to the rim is very frustrating
  13. Don’t like the vibe so far... crowd seems particularly dead tonight
  14. Gordon & Bamba were terrific. I don't think I've ever seen Fournier blow by people consistently like that. He was in another gear. Where did that come from? Ennis was great in transition. Fultz/Gordon pushing pace was fun. Great game overall aside from the 2 minutes to start the 3rd quarter where I assumed we were about to have a classic disappointment.

Yeah. Yeah I get that part of it. I guess I was just trying to make sure there isn't some major difference that I'm not thinking of for "in-division" vs. "in-conference" in the NBA. Players get traded in-conference decently often so in-division shouldn't really be any different aside from a couple tiny things and the perception issue.

Is this for any practical reason or just out of principle/optics? I get why you don't want to trade a guy to a division rival in the NFL. In the NBA is there any major detriment other than the 3rd criterion of a two-team playoff tiebreaker (higher win % in division)? If not, that doesn't seem like a huge risk.
  17. It wasn’t discussed much because we came out with the W, but I wanted to comment on the Clifford timeout thing. Based on his reaction, a timeout he was trying to call was missed again. I went back and watched the play multiple times, and I’m not sure I buy this one. I certainly hope he’s not going to make this into his thing. The first problem is that Fultz pretty much inbounded it immediately after he was handed the ball. Cliff was not attempting to call a timeout leading up to the ref handing the ball to Fultz. During the handoff, he seemed to lean in slightly toward the ref and possibly say something — I assume this was his attempt to call timeout. But again it was pretty much simultaneous with Fultz launching it in because of how quickly he hot-potatoed it. Clifford needs to be more demonstrative if he’s really trying to get these timeouts and they’re being missed. It’s loud at the end of the game. The Knicks miss was more egregious because he was at least running up the sideline. On this one, he barely did anything. Didn’t make a hand signal, didn’t hop out in front of the ref. At some point he needs to pull a Spoelstra/Rivers and make his intention clear, otherwise it could keep happening.
  18. Vooch getting mad at teammates in the huddle was extremely hilarious/paradoxical to hear about at the time, but I’ll give credit where it is due. He and the team flipped the switch after that. What an electric 2nd half.
  19. This is joyless. Having to watch Vooch for 7 years and counting is surely confirmation that I am in one of the circles of hell and this is my punishment
  20. You need a bucket? Just go at Vooch. Guaranteed 2
  21. Joe Harris attacking Vooch and getting above him for a finish. Lol lol
  22. Don’t worry this team has plenty of shooting
  23. My god I mean we’re just going to have half of our roster have career-worst seasons simultaneously huh? Ross isn’t even close on any of these shots
  24. Definitely could do without DJ dribbling the air out of the ball
