I really need to start taking PTO on the day of the trade deadline. Seems like every year a couple trades happen in the weeks leading up to the deadline, and then all hell breaks loose like 4 hours before the cutoff. This year feels no different, and I just know I’m gonna be sitting at work refreshing twitter nonstop and risking getting fired.

Would be hilarious if after all these years of Ainge being praised for his moves, their team is ultimately undone by some of those “business decisions”.

I don't think anyone said that. Wasn't the quote that started this off that Bamba isn't as far off as being a decent starting center as some people think? So nothing about wins or comparing him to another center? You're changing the argument on everything right now. First he turned the ball over all the time in the post -- then objective stats proved that's not really true. Then the argument was well actually he just gets pushed around a lot. Now you're changing what the argument even was to begin with. I think you might need a few deep breaths. You went from enjoyable, rational guy to hot take apocalypse guy in like 4 days.

Bust. It's been 52 games and I haven't even seen him score 40 points yet or get 25 rebounds or block a shot so hard it deflated the ball or shatter a backboard on a dunk or shoot laser beams from his fingertips to blind an opposing player or teleport from the locker room directly to the post or

Like over the last 3 or 4 days, three fanbases have legit reasons to be on the brink. This is amazing.

Honestly it is so refreshing and helpful to know that other franchises get to experience these types of debacles. We aren't alone.

The impatience with Bamba thing that's going on is so baffling to me. It's going to take a few years to have any sense of his trajectory. As ?4TW has pointed out many times, his rookie numbers compare favorably with other high impact Cs. If there's any fanbase that should recognize the dangers of giving up on players too early, it's ours.

I just need it to be Thursday afternoon so I know how happy or angry I should be. I've had enough of the uncertainty.

This is so weird on so many levels. We went from "KP is concerned about the franchise's future/culture" to "Knicks think KP wants to be moved and will assess deals prior to deadline" to "KP has been traded for some stuff" in like 2 hours. Did he say something horrifically offensive to Knicks leadership? Do they think his injuries are career ending? Have they tampered and already know 2 max FAs are coming there if they clear enough room?

Definitely. All he needed was the ability to shoot, some defensive awareness, the understanding of bad times to showboat, and even the remotest semblance of being able to handle the ball without committing a turnover, and he would've been right there. So close.
