Maybe I am not reading this correctly. You'd prefer to have a worse pick?
-
Latest DX mock has us with Embiid/Ennis again, but of course none of this speculation really matters until we know the real order on Tuesday.
-
Randle just tripped over a cone and tweaked his ankle in one of the agility drills. He then tried it again, lost his shoe, and knocked over the same cone. Nice.
-
Stauskas testing very well.
-
Noah Vonleh is the next Karl Malone.
-
I love it too. Why don't we make a few more completely outlandish comparisons involving unproven, somewhat underwhelming prospects and all-time greats. Chris Walker is the next Kevin Garnett. Kyle Anderson is the next Magic Johnson. Shabazz Muhammad is the next Dwyane Wade. Aaron Harrison is the next Ray Allen. (Uh oh, this one might get me in trouble. Remember -- this is sarcasm. I know you may want to agree with this one but I am being completely facetious because Aaron Harrison was terrible for 90% of the season) That was fun!

Anytime you can pick a guy with no foot speed, laughable defensive ability, and no shooting, dribbling, or playmaking skill with the 3rd pick overall... you have to do it.
-
Embiid is not on your list of players with the most upside in this draft?
-
I also like how the people who use the "Orlando superstar leaving for LA" concept forget the minor detail that Dwight was traded there.
-
Dudes, everyone knows that Kentucky players HAVE to be loyal to the team that drafts them, unlike every other NBA basketball player. Don't you dare question Junkie's sound logic. If we draft Randle, he is GENETICALLY OBLIGATED to play out his career in Orlando. His loyalty is written into his DNA, much like the genes that code for his eye color and whether or not his earlobes are attached. You see, these guys have a built-in code that requires them to be upstanding and to seek out a life devoid of controversy, debauchery, and sin. It's why they committed to play for a guy like John Calipari in the first place.

And terribly unoriginal

Smart, Randle, Vonleh, Cauley-Stein

If I may intrude, I'm having trouble comprehending this. You had him at 10 since the start of the season. Then you actually had him at 8 but you personally realized this was too high and would only be possible if he impressed you (in other words, you still probably thought ~10 was fair). Then you assert that he is actually in the range of 11-15, most likely... WHICH IS EXACTLY WHERE OUR PICK IS GOING TO FALL... yet you went out of your way to single the guy out and leave a snide comment?
-
He will be in the range of our 2nd pick. You'll be waiting a while to receive such a link because it's not going to come.
-
Ah, the method I described was clearly his tactic in a previous year. You're right. The intern also has to do a keg stand and 10 of those spins with his head on a baseball bat prior to throwing the dart. If it lands on a Kentucky player he gets a do-over.

Yeah. According to my inside source, Hennigan will write everyone's name on a slip of paper and pick two out of a hat. Saves lots of time/effort.

Are we really trying to catch Boston?

Something about splitting the ping pong balls and then flipping a coin to see who gets the odd remainder. That's really the extent of my understanding. -
OH REALLY BRO YOU DON'T LOL WOWWWW BIG SURPRISE THIS IS MY SHOCKED FACE jk we're not shocked seriously

Draft lottery spots are not determined by regular season head-to-head tiebreakers like playoff seeds are. -
Yeah, we should stop tossing around the word "need". We are not a team that is in a position to draft based on need. I'm not a big fan of Simmons and his reactionary, hyperbolistic writing, but I do agree with his stance on taking the BPA and figuring it out later. We don't (currently) have any first-team all NBAers, so we shouldn't be restricting ourselves by drafting based on need.
-
ATL being 2 games ahead in the loss column is the better way to look at it. Hawks also hold tiebreaker, if I heard Breen correctly.
-
Exum has been rated higher than Smart for months.
-
What does player of the month mean? Why does there need to be a meaning to either? Can't they just be nice accolades?
-
"the paramount of stupid"

It was us with Dwight, but the point holds.
