We have years to figure this out. All of our guards other than Fultz can play both positions. We don’t have to trade anyone for a long time. -

I am too dug into my opinion now, I can’t change no matter the evidence. I sure hope you’re right though. -

Sengun’s dad posted “it’ll probably be Orlando” on IG so I’m just gonna go ahead and start my cross country walk now -
Kai Jones has a better chance of not being in the league in 5 years than becoming even 30% as good as Dwight was in Orlando.
-
I mean if this happens it's just the upside argument with Kuminga at #8. I'd get it from that perspective. But I certainly agree that'd be quite the logjam again. The other reason for it is simply to snag him and then move him. Undoubtedly, teams behind us see value in taking a huge swing on him. So maybe we take him just to say "OK, we got him -- let's hear some offers."
-
New Hollinger article on the Athletic suggests that there is "increasing chatter that the Magic are enamored with Stanford's Ziaire Williams", and that we should therefore trade back. Hard to tell if this is a legit rumor situation with Williams at this point, or if everyone is just in a reporting echo chamber since we worked him out twice and people are drawing conclusions.

So we give up the best pick in the deal, the best player in the deal, and receive a player who has shot <40% from the field in 3 consecutive seasons, a player undergoing a major surgery who will be out all year, and a worse pick?
-
I can picture it now: Raptors take Barnes at 4, I am standing up in my living room clapping, Magic twitter is going nuts. Adam Silver approaches the podium and announces that with the 5th pick, the Orlando Magic select... ALPEREN SENGUN. I then walk out the front door and keep walking, never to return.
-
That's probably the case but it makes me happy so I will allow it. Everyone mock Suggs to us please.
-
Bump. This is what's happening folks. No need to check mocks. Yours truly broke the Wagner news before all this new info about him growing a couple more inches. Add that to the fact that now we know he had a non-publicized workout (a Weltman staple for the players he likes), and it's a lock. Hopefully Barnes will be Suggs but I don't truly think Toronto will pass on him.
-
Franz Wagner saying he is 6’11” now is a pretty huge deal IMO
-
Suggs could easily be the best of all the guards so you sprint to the podium to draft him if he falls to 5.
-
Subject to change, but my 3 nights away prediction is: Barnes @ 5, Wagner @ 8, trade 33. This is not what I would necessarily want but what I think the FO will do. Only certainty is trading 33 — that’s set in stone and has been for months.
-
Well it would benefit him to start showing it then. Bad college season at Duke and 2 bad NBA seasons so far.
-
Reddish shot 36.5% from the field and 26.2% from 3 this year. If it weren’t for the one game at the end of the playoffs where he inexplicably hit a bunch of 3s all of the sudden, no one would be discussing him.
-
Ha, I wish I worked from home! Call my boss for me and help me make that happen
-
Just making sure y’all have kept the video running on Sengun after the defensive clips are shown?
-
My first choice is moving up to 3 to get Green/Mobley. If not, I like Suggs, Barnes, Kuminga @ 5, in that order. Then 8 is tough b/c it kinda depends what we do at 5, but probably Moody, Bouknight, Giddey, or Ziaire -- and the latter 2 might be gettable with a trade back. I do find it kind of interesting that Ziaire is the only guy (at least that we know of) who was brought back for a 2nd workout.
