  1. Yeah, the cat stuff was what? 5 years ago?

Your trade didn't justify a long drawn out answer, even though Marc Acres was kind enough to give it a try.

It's Michael Beasley. When GM's get calls re: him, they reply the same way, unless it's a salary dump. And Kendall Marshall couldn't even put together good games in the D-League.

So "nope" is the correct answer to your post. Nor do I owe you an explanation as to why I put nope.

I think the biggest thing about beasley is how he may effect the locker room and our young players. In addtion, he is not a winner.

  2. I'm not a big fan of committing long term money to a young guy who's been a backup his entire career with only half a season to evaluate whether or not he is worth a big contract. I would rather draft a point, trade for a young point with a few years left on his rookie contract, or sign a no kidding legitimate point guard that won't require a lot of speculation about his true value. The last option would probably happen a few years from now if it does happen.

the clip's eric has two years left, counting this year.

  3. Link

ESPN analysts threw out some trade possibilities, here are the ones involving JJ Redick:

Of the ones listed, I think I like the Thunder trade most. Two very solid rookies that haven't gotten playing time on a championship contender plus a decent PG with an expiring contract.

I like the thunder trade. I dont know what two people I would cut from the them. The clipper trade is good but they would need to give me a first in 2014 because of the butlers contract.

  4. I don't think Phoenix would be willing to give all that up for Hibbert and his Max contract. I see them building through the draft like us.

But I wouldn't mind us trading J.J. to Memphis for Ed Davis and picks. I believe there will be a bidding war among a number of playoff teams for Redick.

Gortat wants out of phoenix. They are only giving up the laker's 1st and Gortat. I dont see that being an issue. I do see Hibbert's contract being the biggest thing they think about.

I like the trade for us.

two 1st and an young guard.

  5. Rondo is just a terrible idea altogether, especially after an ACL tear. He'll probably never be the player he was.

    earlier post by me

    "Would boston do?

rondo, bradley, collins and 2014 first unprotected

    for nelson and JJ"

I understand the risk, but I see it as a win win. We will suck for 2 years with out him; weather we have him injured or don't trade. If he comes back full strength next year, it will speed use up as a team and we add him and bradley. If he is back to normal, we have a piece, with rondo to pitch to stars and a face to the team. In addition, we will have our top 5 pick - in 2013.

If rondo is not the same, after next year, we will have a very large expiring contract with 2 highly talented rookies added in 2013 and 2014. Plus, we will have boston's and denver's picks in a very good 2014 draft (Giving us 3 picks in a killer draft). If boston continues to fall apart because of age, it will give us even more talent.

  6. Most Impressive:

Vooch - Showing a nice left and right hook, to go with top rebounding numbers

    Nelson - In attack mode

Draft - We look to be in the top 5 of the draft.

Games - the funny thing is that the games have been good to watch. we have just found ways to come out on the wrong end.

Trade bait - JJ is going off. His value has never been higher. We could get a nice pick for him.

Turk - Please stay on the bench; our defense is bad enough.

    Most Disappointing

JV - Stop going with 4 guards. It sucks.

JV - Stay with the hot hand and make the other team match you. He took out JJ when he was blazing and did not play Nick in the 4th quarter during a game he was killing.

Andrew - Your defense is pitiful. You are smarter than you are playing. Stop getting 3 second calls on you. Plus, you had 6 fouls in one quarter. We were not playing hack a shaq.

Al Harrington - I keep hearing that you are almost ready. Where are you?

  7. Affalo certainly does seem distracted. Not the same player at all. He has gone from leading scorer to almost invisible on the court. Don't know what to think of it, but I suspect there could be a serious personal issue. Whether we keep him or trade him, we need for him to get out of his funk.

    They say he is hurt.

    out for today's game.

  8. Just a point on Vuch. He does not turn the ball over near the amount Howard does. While Howard is a beast on D (at least was, don't think he is nearly as good this year), Vuch has a better offensive game in terms of having a jumper and making free throws. Howards PPG was higher his 2nd year compared to Vuch, but I think that was largely due to overpowering dunks, which Vuch does not have. Plus and this is big IMO, he appears to have a more serious approach to the game.

we dont go to nick like we did for howard, so he will have less TOs.

  9. Glen's injury just seemed to start the death spiral. Time to start a bidding war for JJ. Try and dump Afflalo too for picks and shorter contracts.

AA and Glen are not that old. Is it just me, but I think they can be part of our long term plans. I dont think we should try to axe them. They are both solid players. I do think we must decide between redick or AA. But I think AA is the better defender and the player we should keep. His contract is reasonable and he attacks the bucket. We could trade JJ and get some picks. If neslon was a bigger point, JJ could slot next to him, but Nelson is not and we have him for 1 (2 maybe) more years.

By Having Nick, AA, and Baby, we can focus on sf and pg prospects. Versus, trying to find a whole new team. Unless we land a good lottery pick (like the thunder's raptor pick), I would keep AA.

  10. the MAGICs record doesnt show how hard this team plays, most every night. man, if the teams the magic had the last 3 or 4 years would have the heart and never quit attitude this team has, they might have won a title or two. this is not a bad team, just not getting the breaks u need to be a contender. if they lose the next forty games, and still play hard and never think theyre out of any game, ill still be an ORLANDO MAGIC FAN!!!

We are missing that impact player down the stretch that gets the tough baskets. We need a go to scorer.

  11. What did you you guys think of the nelson, moore, redick, afflalo, davis line up?

I am tired of seeing it. At the very least we should of had a sf like mcroberts, joes or harkless to help on the boards and provide better length on defense. Plus, Nick was killing them. 1-3 quarters. He was our best player and a player they could not match up with. So we played more to their strength verses playing to our strength. Nick should have been in the game down the stretch.

  12. Honestly, if we make a trade and come out of it with anything less than a player I'm excited about, I'll be incredibly disapointed. We have too many "eh, ok" players on the team. Even if it's a prospect; just someone with any kind of real potential.

What are your thoughts on d. williams from the wolves.
