Golden State Warriors: Proposing a trade which lands Orlando in the lottery
In this trade, they would be dealing away Aaron Gordon and Terrence Ross for Andrew Wiggins and the No. 2 overall pick.

I was thinking Haliburton. 7ft wingspan at pg or sg

Who ever rated my last post down. The last trade I put up was in response to a comment on my original coby trade. The none coby was not a trade I was high on. I just wanted his thoughts.
As I STATED before, I would like to keep Gordon. I rather trade vuc and/or evan. But there have been rumors about us trading Gordon. It made me wake with a bulls trade scenario.

I know we all do these trades for fun but you have to be somewhat realistic. In fact trading Gordon and the 15th supposedly cannot get us into the top ten. Those are the rumors.
Anyhow it's official, get ready for a fun day tomorrow. Players can opt in or out and trades can happen starting Monday.
I understand. That is why I was asking the forums thoughts.
What are your thoughts on this trade
Magic Get
4th pick
Tomas Satoransky
T. Young
Bulls Get
Gordon
15th Pick

For some reason, I woke up thinking about the magic and bulls doing a trade. I am not sure what to think about it. Here is the trade. What are your thoughts?
Magic Receive
4th pick
Coby White
T. Young
Bulls Receive
15th Pick
Aaron Gordon

good point. It does hint at backroom talks and discussions. NBA players do make enough money to have multiple houses though.

He looks good. Though, he doesn't fit managements profile because of short arms. Management would probably go nesmith because of 6' 10" wingspan. They put length above most things.

Great. If Evan opts in early, we could trade him on draft day.

Has was the #2 out of ESPN’s top 100 coming out of high school. Given that he often played with two non-shooting bigs at UNC, analysts expect him to have higher shooting percentages in the pros.
Edit: This guy was the MVP of pretty much every tournament his senior year of high school. If we didn’t have Fultz, this type of scoring point guard is the exact type of player I’d want on the Magic. Hmmm...
He is on my list of players I would get. I think he has high ceiling. He does have injury issues. He could become a go too scorer.

I don't think it is before the draft. I think the draft is Wednesday the 18th. Not sure of opt in date is though. I thought same as free agency.

I think it is 2 days after the draft

They done that many times. They just have had injuries and missed in the draft. They want lengthy players, with good character, and players that can play position less basketball. Just not having a marquee player makes things boring. Isaac injury really hurt.
Gordon is the closest we have to excitement and the reason I am against trading him.

1 hour ago, JJZFL said:I’m sure they could find ways to generate some excitement without openly speculating about specific players.
Other than Fultz, the rest of the above moves, if you consider drafting Okeke a move, are of so little interest that no one would have paid much attention even if they announced them 6 months in advance.
I don’t think the team is worth watching for another season as currently constructed, especially minus Isaac.
I agree with the team not having excitement. Out side of making trades and getting new players, with actual moves. What are you asking management to do to make buzz. Not sure what you mean there.

Also, he doesn't fit our other players time lines

I suppose it is possible for Wiggins to improve as a player at this point, but I don’t think players grow out of being a chucker
I dont mind wiggins as a scorer. I think he needs to show more effort and defense. He has the talent. He just does not bring it every night. I would not mind wiggins and the second pick for vuc. That is a move that would excite me.
Bomba /Birk
Gordon / AL
Wiggins / Okeke
Haliburton (or Edwards) 2nd Pick / Ross
Fultz / Tyrell Terry (Or Cole Anthony) 15th Pick
I would be happy.

I'm back again to share draft thoughts, didn't realize it's right around the corner. I think he is still a guy our Gm's would love. I still love Kira, Nesmith, Anthony and possibly Bey as a super sleeper pick for us if we wind up trading anyone.
If we dont pick up one of the scorers/play markers in this draft, I will lose faith in management.
In order - Ball, Edwards, Haliburton, k. Hayes, Kira Lewis jr, Cole Anthony, and Tyrell Terry are all high on my list. These are the players I am looking hard at for us. I will be happy with any of these players.

I agree, but I want actual good trades and not exciting fake news and ag to the bucks for crumbs doesn't do it for me.

Outside their 2 allstars, the bucks have nothing I want. Especially for Gordon.

Part of managements job is to keep some excitement going with the fan base. They can’t do that by never saying anything. This is not a “top secret” military operation.
If I don’t hear anything from them, I assume it’s because they have nothing interesting to say.
The front office has done barely any moves but the ones they did was all to the surprise of the public. Fultz, okeke, al, Simmons, mcw, and Clark. I don't think they have been great, but they are always silent.
The excitement needs to be on the court. It is in the best interest of the players to not hear their name in possible deals.
I don't want moves for the sake of moves. I do think we have to take our shots to get better and move past the first round. It may mean a mini rebuild. This is the year to do it - good draft next year and isaac returning.

I really don't want to trade Gordon. I would rather either or both evan/vuc get traded. I want to see what Gordon does with more usage as 1st or 2nd option. I just know it will be victor all over again. Sell high on vuc and evan now - if possible. Hand the team to Gordon and fultz and run.

But assuming our players attract great offers but we don't know about that because are not leaked, IMHO is just a dream. We're a mediocre team and the trade value of our players is as mediocre as our level. It works both ways. Can't assume they get bad offers either. Either way it's a dream because it's not rooted in fact or really.

9 hours ago, JJZFL said:It’s not like we’ve seen much in the way of exciting moves. Maybe they don’t let much leak because there isn’t anything.
There is unlimited speculation. The fact is we don't let things leak. Most of our moves are done in surprise of the public. Even okeke's red shirt year took forever to find out - even after the draft.

I don't think Boston would do that though.
I think they would but we would not
